dead on arrive / is this the future? ones i put this in my phone and suddenly someone stealing my phone he may not take the hassle of cracking my facial and fingerprint to get to my data but imagine of he pull the SD card out from your phone you will be happy your data become at risk of blackmail :) you want a solution buy expensive more internal storage phone cant aford it go to cloud not trusting cloud wait when higher storage phone become cheap

Designed for professional purposes. Will come in consuner products once PC makers stop putting SD Card readers on a USB 2.0 bus. Will become affordablein some years. Cool to see what the future looks like

SD card will never change it purpose of external storage, add-on storage for phone, camera, etc

With great innovation in speed comes greater expenses. People nowadays had no idea how expensive HDDs were back then. We can get 1TB drive today for the same price as the 40GB ones from 10 - 14 years ago. Maybe in five or seven more years (with the lawsuit from Samsung, Micron and SK Hynix for example is set and done), we could finally get a 1TB SSD for just 4500 pesos.

They could've made it backward compatible with UHS-II and UHS-III by doubling the pins on the second row while making the pin-out select UHS or PCIe or both where applicable.

Movie collectors and fans will love it as it can store lots of movies. Should be perfect paired with a $250 Mi Max 3, a 6.9“ multimedia phone designed to maximize enjoyment with Facebook, movies, music, photo viewing and gaming without worrying about battery life. Much better buy than some overpriced SD 435 flagship with 6.0-6.3“ sreen that has no external sd card storage only and has a sub 4000mAh battery.

For that price, you can buy an sd card-less flagship phone that has a 1-2 year lifespan whose internal storage dies with the phone and can't be transferred to another phone, a camcorder, a digital camera or another portable gaming console. Buying a phone without sd card slot is supporting planned obsolescence and wasteful consumption.

These new cards isn't going to cost less than 500$-700$ and for that price you can buy a flagship phone. Still not worth it.

Excellent development. This is the reason why Google and other manufacturers are not providing sd card slots in their phones. They don't want you to just buy a bigger sd card storage. They want you to buy an overpriced phone with larger internal storage instead or to subscribe to their cloud services.

These cards are costly than mid-range mobile phones . Most people can not afford it .
