My MateSE phone got the update from EMUI 5.2 to 8.0. WOW! That kind of update is unheard of in other manufacturers. It has been stable and battery life is great.

Apple do it, because charge it's own users humongous amount of money - for a phone about 200$ they ask the customer to pay 600-700$. That generate enough money for R&D + support from 3-4 years.
Huawei didn't charge you such money for Honor 7 and you shouldn't expect support for 3 years old device at that price range.

I'd love it for Huawei-Honor to show some love to other 2015 phones, like the Honor 7.
I feel like it is still a very capable phone despite being an "oldie" and it should at least deserve a little bit more features than the ones it already has.
I'm not asking for the EMUI 8.0, but at least something so this great phone doesn't feel as abandonned.
I don't know if it's possible or not but, regardless, I'd still love to see something in the near future.

If huawai update software they gonna impress the users they have already own. if not there are lot other option users gonna run out of hand.

Just a thought, the article says that the phones are receiving emui 8 'based on oreo', it doesnt say its getting oreo update independantly, just based on.. its good to see they updating their devices though.
