To add on, even LAST YEAR'S Mi A1 had both headphone jack and microsd slot. Although the slot itself is hybrid, it beats not having one. Heck, I can even recommend Mi A1 (cheaper as of now) over THIS YEAR'S Mi A2 if you insist on getting Xiaomi which runs pure Android even though the hardware may be slightly dated.

Also, having a Bluetooth headphone with DAC sounds better than Type-C headphones IMO.

its basically the same principle as bluetooth you need a DAC and quality will heavily depend on the good (and expensive) DACs and the headphones drivers ofc.

Is preferable to have good bluetooth headphones, they dont have wires and at least they are compatible with everything else out there.

the upside of this is that, even if this phone is lacking jack, sd slot and nfc.
big for MY standards, low battery. Xiaomi will release a mi a3 in a couple of months most likely.

Also, if they want to ship to non china markets. do it on a timely manner. snapdragon 660 is looking old already

2nd half of 2018 still Snapdragon 660 ? it should be Snapdragon 710 & 128GB without expandable memory is not enough, it should come with 256GB version as well.

It seems that Xiaomi is PUSHING you to buy the 128GB variant of Mi A2 given the lack of microsd slot. This is all done to get Xiaomi to earn BIG BUCKS IMO.

No headphone jack & no microsd card slot in Mi A2 = Please THINK carefully whether you are OK with these essentials GONE and you are comfortable to store data (photos etc.) in Google "spying" Drive. Also need to THINK if you want that inconvenience of the lack of a headphone jack with a DONGLE (can LOSE easily if you're not careful) to connect to your existing headphones.

I could recommend Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 even though the cameras sucks as of now (hope it is fixed on future update), it is more affordable than Xiaomi Mi A2 and comes with these TWO essentials (jack & card slot) needed in a typical smartphone. Also with almost similar looking stock android experience with minimal bloatware.

No idea if it's interesting, but the first 2 lines of that kernel are the exact same as my Oneplus 5T. Or are many more manufacturers using that kernel?

In india if it launches now will take atleast 1month to get hands on. Due to flash sales & availability will be much more delay.

                                  Do it.
