the_hbk, 02 Oct 2011Symbian has had lock screen since ages. Have you ever used ... moreI'm not saying that there is no lock screen. I said there is no password lock screen like the ones you see on Android. My previous phone was a Symbian phone so I have used one before and my friends used to have one too and it too had a lock screen.

The original argument was at someone who said that Symbian is better than Android just because of this issue on AT&T's GS II, while other Android phones don't have this issue. I'm saying, how can it be better if these pattern or password lock screens doesn't exist at all. The lock screen on Symbian is just press a few buttons to unlock or just touch the button on the screen to unlock. I didn't actually mean that there is no lock screen at all (unless if it's the 5800 which is just a switch).

This definitely AT&T's fault. Nothing to do with Android or SGS2. Just a minor flaw and it become big news. LOL

                  Hi,

I have the international version of the Galaxy S2, and it also has a lock screen fault. When you tap the home button twice, it takes you to the driving mode menu and then just press back and you've succesfully bypassed the security.

                      Duhhhhh....

When you buy from a service provider, they ruin ALL phones with their restrictive, slow, crappy firmware tailored for their own financial gain.
Also you will have difficulty or no chance to update it believe me!

Just buy the phone as an open device dammit and stop acting like zombies!

FACT - THOSE WHO BUY PHONES TIED TO NETWORK PROVIDERS NEVER GET THE FULL PERFORMANCE.

This is probably an AT&T problem. they change the UI and unfortunately they sometimes insert bugs into software ( european version of the phone doesn't have this bug)

i think att did this on purpose so they can make android phones look bad since apple is responsible for their huge success ...cus other than iphone i have no idea why att is even out there their rates are expensive horrible signals and not to mention that their internet sucks big time

fingerprint scanner on my Atrix is still a better security feature.

oh my god a software bug! Android sucks! OMG you can't hold the phone and talk at the same time because your hand would block the antenna? Apple sucks!

seriously...let's all grow up and admire our own phone of choice quietly.
