Psst! Few rules to revive yourself:
- bring back Headphone Jack
- Price phones reasonably.
- avoid notches at all costs
- Keep the front dual speakers, amaze us with rich sound like the M8 and M7 had!
Do all that and you'll become a hot company again!

They seriously need to drop their pricing. Love their designs but tiny battery and extra premium pricing is killing them. They should take a leaf out of Nokia. They have a premium over Chinese brands but are still competitive in performance and features.

The smaller-than-it-should-have-been battery and continued use of LCD displays is what killed their chances of bouncing back. Sure, the price was steep but had they fixed those 2 things and made their U12+ more global (with CDMA and the amount of LTE bands as the Pixel2/XL or OnePlus 6), it would have been a hit. This is coming from the guy that was in love with their One M8 Harmon/Kardon edition.
Oh well. Since Google disappointed me too, I'm gonna hold off until the ZTE Axon 9 Pro (seeing that they are trying to bounce back) and the Razer 2 phones come out to make my choice for this year. This year just plain sucks for smartphones.

Not listening to customers and not changing according to trends but following stupid fruit brand implementations(3.5mm removal) are the reasons for HTC's fall. Hope at least HTC realizes this and take some sound steps. For duck sake HTC, remember that battery and display are key elements that aren't supposed to be messed up with, which you did. Look what Sony is doing with battery life and LG with LCD displays. Ps in current state of HTC, it can't solely survive on flagships(with exorbitant prices). Sony realized this and came up with competent models like XA2. But Mid rangers of HTC are utter siht! I Really feel sad for HTC. Hope they turn around. Btw marketing team of HTC are either bunch of raccoons or non-existent.

They brought it upon themselves. If they have listened to customer's gripes and comments, they may not have end up like this. Formula for downfall as modeled by HTC:
1. Ignore loyal customers comments
2. Keep the price high, while skimping on features (put small battery, put small internal storage and RAM, remove headphone jack)
3. Ignore software updates and issue it yearly
It may well be too late for this company. Good for them, the people managing HTC have been so stubborn ever since releasing their UltraPixel *flop*
The people managing this company never learned from their mistakes. They should be held responsible

Walter C. Dornez, 06 Jul 2018I think HTC needs to join with another company, you know? A... moreYeah, they should be merged by Sony because you know, the XZ2 design is strikingly similar to the HTC U11 - U12+. HTC can give Sony the USonic technology for their audiocentric XZ2 phones and HTC can fix Sony's flawed camera software algorithm so Sony will become the best in the camera department and make DxOMark rate them 110/100.
Imagine HTC's camera algorithm with the IMX400 or Exmor.

Releasing less phones doesn't matter if the phones are not available globally. The U12+ may be a great phone, but availability is seriously restricted. For instance, the 128 GB storage is not sold in Europe, even though the previous models have been. Of course, U11+ suffered from other restrictions, like available colours - this may not seem important, but it is frustrating as hell.
