While Spotify develops a great app for both OS (iOS and Android), apple on the other hand develops an excellent app for iOS (their own OS of course) and a dreadfull app for Android....

And that´s why i choose Spotigy any day

As a guy who wants to have the right to tinker with everything in my OS I hate Apple. That said Apple have become the ultimate masters of just 1 click and use the thing. No settings to tweek, no drivers to check, no troubleshooting to do and nothing to restart. So from a user(loser) point of view I'm amazed Apple hasn't become the number 1 seller of hardware for your average consumer. I imagine their music service is a great user experience and as such they probably deserve to be number 1. However as a nerd I reserve the right to lift my nose up and smirk at you if you use apple devices.

Professional, 07 Jul 2018Nobody uses DEEZER?! By far the most beautiful graphical mu... moreDeezer unfortunately lacks many great albums due to the regional licensing mess media companies has fixed to push prices up.
That said, I've stopped subscribing to music as I noticed downloads are a lot cheaper these days than they used to be. These days, there are even sales, bargain launches and whatnot. Okay, some 16- and 24-bit albums are still redonkulously expensive.

Luxor, 07 Jul 2018Are you sure that a good decision? I heard Google will kill... moreI'm well aware of that, and I have no worries. YouTube/Youtube Music Premium (in my case) has been live for about ~2 months, and I love them both!

Truthfully, I launch YouTube Music by default now. Don't get me wrong, Google Play Music was great! Since its launch years ago, I've used the service to stream my own uploaded music, as well as music that I've purchased over time. Once I dumped Spotify, and purchased a Google Play Music subscription a couple of years back, it got that much better. I was able to stream/download to no end, just as I had with Spotify, but there was a MAJOR upgrade in content that was available to me. I'm talking a night and day difference.

Fact is, no streaming service comes close to what YouTube has to offer. Solely regarding the music aspect, Youtube Music's libraries has more content than the standalone Google Play Music (without RED/Premium) and Spotify combined. With one search through YouTube Music, not only do I get official albums/songs, I get every remix, cover, live version, instrumental, parody, etc. Not to mention all of the music from people aren't signed to record deals. This doesn't even include videos, which can be switched over to music, and back again, with the flip of a switch.

Also, YouTube Music's player is far superior than the one Google Play Music offers. It plays music/videos seamlessly. In Google Play Music, when a video is available, it launches a modified, embedded type, on-demand YouTube player, which requires you to stay on that screen to watch/listen. No switching, no background play. Not ideal, to say the least.

Anyway, for me, nothing tops Google's streaming service.

Google Play Music, which comes with YouTube/YouTube Music Premium are the best deal in streaming. Period.

YouTube/YouTube Music Premium provides an ad-free experience across all of YouTube, along with background play, the ability to download videos/music to watch/listen offline, and access to YouTube Originals.

I cancelled my Spotify Premium for Family package, purchased a Google Play Family Plan instead, transferred all of my playlists over, and never looked back!

                                I couldn't have made a better decision.

The only thing is you can't streem on multiple devices at once. Unless you have a family plan. Which makes sense otherwise you'd be sharing that account with everyone. You can have all the music on multiple devices, just one can be used at any given moment.
