Xiaomi uses Qualcomm Chipsets like the rest of the world. And they launch their phones early with the latest chipset than the rest of the manufacturers e.g. Mi 8 SE with sdm710. Their build quality is cheap, I know that and their phones fail and some would say that they are not durable or product testing is not great but they are bang for the buck. They run properly for the time they're being used. They give insurance with their phone which is pretty cheap to buy (Optional to buy).

Until 2017 refresh cycle, their mid range options (J5 & J7) were way better. They are currently stuck in Exynos 7870 chipset and very adamant to move away form this chipset. Even the current A8+ 2018 has worst specifications for the price offered. J7 duo is the only mid-range phone which is better, again I know that competitors offer much better options in the mid-range.

If you happen to only use Samsung's flagships, then surely you will say that Samsung's phones are sweet. The main problem with Samsung's line-up is their rather subpar midrange and low-end offerings compared to competitors within the same class and price range.

IP68 or wireless charging isnt worth 700 bucks not anything else phone has which Mi8 Explorer dont have.
And i said S9+ made by xiaomi would cost 500 where Mi8 Explorer made by samsung will cost 1200 no matter your theory.
This company is pure evil and greed for money power rule and will do everything to keep this for long time.

As for Samsung, everything in S9+ uses is A grade Top grade quality, so even if Xiaomi going to mfg S9+, the cost still hight, so it will still going to sell as high as 1200.
So remember, you pay peanut price you'll peanut theory, even it is made in India.

Well and the Samsung phones still will e very pricey and people working for Samsung at India will get almost no wages for their hardwork.
Imagine xiaomi making S9+ would cost up to 500.
Now Samsung is making Mi8 Explorer with a pricetag of 1200.
I wouldnt give even a single penny to this money Greedy company.
They can open same factory in every countryy but they never beats xiaomi in hardware and quality compared to price.

Given the size of population, even if 1% of smartphone buyers choose flagship, the number of units sold will be more than any nation with China and US being an exception. that's the reason Google pixel was launched in India along with selected 5 other countries.

That touchwiz is still laggy on mid rangers shows that Samsung is unwilling to learn inspite of repeatedly failing in mid range market. Had a a8, started lagging within a year. On contrary, my note 3 pro even with inferior hardware ran smooth for 2 years till I was bored of it and it was outdated... Besides if flagship can explode, what's the guarantee that mid range won't? Also I do agree that their flagships are one of the best in market, but they seriously need to stop using same UI on phones using lower range chipsets

I am too using my redmi 1s as secondary phone n its backup is quite ok, after these many years. After rough usage by my sis, dents everywhere, touch having 100's of cracks, still working good. Neither touch replaced, nor battery...
Xiaomi provides good quality overall, n thats why i switched to Redmi note 5 pro, from those big names...
Samsung (non touch)-> Nokia (n86, solid build)-> sony(xperia zr)-> motorolla(g2)-> samsung (on5)->xiaomi (note 5 pro)
None of earlier phones were bad, but if you look after feature and quality to price ratio, xiaomi surpasses every other brand. Why spend extra when you get more than enough for less. To get same performance n quality in sony/samsung/nokia you need to spend a lot, but without any extra benefit, other than brand name.

when i purchased vietnam galaxy note, battery just last for a year, grand need to replace mainbord less than a year use, happens to my friends as well, is every region different quality? since note and S in US has snapdragon

Xiaomi makes the p... moreIf Xiaomi actually designed their own phones from scratch, instead of copying other makers existing designs, they might have something to brag about.
As it is, it is just a typical Chinese company. Reverse-engineer the design, make it from cheap inferior materials with minimal QC, and then flood the market with it, driving out competition due to consumers going for low price rather than quality.
This is why Japanese and Korean electronics will always be superior to Chinese and Indian electronics. They care about quality first, profit second in most cases. Samsung and the Note 7 debacle is one of the exceptions, not the norm like Chinese companies operate.
