I mean if Xiaomi could fit 4000 mAh in a slim phone like Note 5 pro, they could probably fit the same capacity battery in MIA2(I typed wrongly as MIA1 in the earlier msg) as well.

4,000mAh, Snapdragon 625 and the more expensive model has 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

SadSoul, 13 Jul 2018That is kinda outdates in 2018. I am already using Note 5 P... more"Outdated" in what sense? Hardware has no expiry date and flagship SD821 SoC has one of the best support in terms of OS development in Xiaomi, it has a much better performance in terms of GPU and single core, OLED screen, USB type C, barometer for better GPS accuracy, and better design (subjective). IDK why people are dishing-out money for midrange when you can get almost same price old flagship phone with flasgship specs.

Redmi Note 5 Pro is a decent phone BTW given its initial price point.

SadSoul, 13 Jul 2018Problem is A2 will have a 5.99 inch screen compared to 5.5 ... moreStock Android aside, Mi Note 2 is one of of the best option right now if you want more than SD660 performance single core, a much better screen, good camera and 4000mAh battery to top it all off.

m-p-3, 12 Jul 2018To be honest I have the A1 with a 3080mAh battery and it do... moreProblem is A2 will have a 5.99 inch screen compared to 5.5 in A1. And SD 660 is no way more power efficient than SD 625. If Xioami can equip a 4000 mAh battery in a slim phone like Note 5 Pro, they could also fit the same capacity battery in MIA1 as well. It looks like "planned" to make MIUI driven phones look superior.

And again, it would used that 1/3" IMX486 again... sheesh, Xiaomi.
Fck those AI brandings and dual camera, why don't you move on from that iPhone sized camera sensor (ehm) too?!

                  That 1/2.3" IMX378 on Mi5s was already great :(

Compare flagships with flagships, otherwise things will go wrong.

They're used to paying a premium price for a flagship. If I was an Apple user switching to android I'd probably go with either the Pixel 2 or the Galaxy S9.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2018NO headphone jack and microsd slot, thanks (sarcasm) but I'... moreYeah it's a bummer that they remove the headphone jack and micro sd slot. But it think there are some major improvement such as quick charge 3.0, a very good camera (at f 1.8), and a pure stock android with SD 660. If the price is similar with Mi 6X (240 USD for 4 / 64 variant) then this is a very good mid ranger phone.

There's an error in the article, A1 was (still is) available in 4/32 gb variant also!

AnonD-694886, 12 Jul 2018But Mi Note 3 doesn't have a headphone jack.I never said that it does. My point was that the compromise is too much with the MiA2. If you really want an SD660 phone that is much better than MiA2 (other than the stock Android OFC), Mi Note 3 is really a very good proposition all things that it has considered.

I feel DroidBoye should consider Zenfone Max Pro M1 as it is more affordable, has a headphone jack and Tri-slot (supports both SIMs and one microsd), comes with stock android experience. If he insist on Xiaomi, he can consider the Mi Max 3 which is coming soon on July 19.
