This would be an excellent midranger driven by Stock Android, but 3010 mAh battery is a let down!!!

I feel that Xiaomi should come out with Redmi A2 with similar stock android experience with the headphone jack and microsd slot, IR Blaster (nice option to have) at a LOWER price. The hardware should be Snapdragon 636, 32GB/3GB RAM, 64GB/4GB RAM, dual rear cameras similar to Redmi Note 5. This will create a choice of 2 stock android Xiaomi phones for customer's needs and wants. My idea is that Redmi Note 5 should be named Redmi A2 for the international market with stock android experience while Redmi Note 5 should be restricted for China due to MIUI.

I'm kind of disappointed with this phone, I guess that this has too much compromised than its innovation. This has NO:
      1. 3.5mm headphone port.
      2. No microsd.
Feature which makes the MiA1 standout.
I guess that Xiaomi is now following their current "Mi" designs which SHOULD have none of those features.
I will never upgrade to this, I better consider the Mi Note 3 instead. Better camera and huge battery. Mi Note 3 now is already cheap and it's now a better proposition than MiA2.

If we will be paying for travel and accommodation fee then what is Xiaomi providing? Hell both these things would be worth more than the phone.

NO headphone jack and microsd slot, thanks (sarcasm) but I'll pass for a Zenfone Max Pro M1 (Headphone Jack and microsd slot INCLUDED) instead which is more affordable than Mi A2 with the similar stock android experience. Also, this comes with Tri-slot which allows both SIMs and one microsd instead of a hybrid solution. I feel that this Mi A2 is aimed at existing iPhone users who are comfortable without the headphone jack and microsd slot and prefer to store their data in the "SPYING" cloud. Heck, I could even recommend LAST YEAR'S Mi A1 if one insist on buying Xiaomi pure android experience which still has the headphone jack and microsd slot (albeit a hybrid one) even though it has slightly dated specs BUT the cost is lower now as compared initially.
