Ha still waiting for Sony to know what a good product is... Like the Playstaion Network's security system, or the Playstation move... The funny thing was they did not expect Android... They are always behind the curve... with one exceptiion Blu-ray... and seriously downloadable content will replace those soon enough!

That's the same Kool-Aid that Nokia has been serving to it's investors for years.
Tastes raunchy after awhile.

"And that's what we hate about Apple Products. We only pay for the brand and name but never really the quality. It is overrated and expensive for its specs, features and functions. I'm sure there are better phones than that even if the name is NOT known"
Apparently more people love them then hate them or they would'nt be one of if not the most profitable companies in the world
That's what "branding" does for you.
It's business. Not a fairy-tale

itz natural, aftr all its abt sales n marketing,so u dnt expect someone who deals with android and sells it would go and advertise or publicise other os,bt the fact also remains dat we all live in a "i want it all" world, you dnt expect to get a bugati car or a yahabusa super bike inside a cellphone...loll,yes bt it also rests on the companies to roll out updates and bug fixing updates on a timely manner, and dats the problm with most of the brands nowadays, and SE stands out in this.

1,Into the bad thoughts I said the famous mobile OSes cause belongs also the thought that freedom could be a bluetooth transfer and not the personal privacy
2,Apple and Microsoft promote and sell products to satisfy our eye's greedy needs while google takes private things from us to earn from the advertising market so every mobile Corp cares mostly for the profit than the hollow software that they get money from. And don't get me started with the word hollow because of "patents" cause there are tones of technologies developed many years before to be easily be reclaimed wile many years now children in Asia learn software development to offer fast and cheap products...

Android has less functions then Wp7. wp7 is also faster and more user friendly and less buggy, most of the apps are integrated and make it a better OS. as for IOS everyone knows it's shit and u pay for the apple brand, theres nothing more restricted then IOS. and the reason u dont have all liberty with wp7 is cuz its new so dont judge allready

Take for example The ios,wp7 etc dont even give us the liberty of sending files through bluetooth, unless using an app. Yet there are some people who wud luv to live like amputees even if they have the choice, and go for those not user friendly OSes. Maybe all OSes listen to people, but android listens more quickly..;)

If I were this dude, I'd be more concerned with creating a "brand" than I would be about discounting others products or innovations.
Apple could make a phone out of styrofoam and it would sell, because they created and have a "brand"
Yahoo's like this guy just don't seem to understand that for some reason.
Whether anyone likes it or not, in order to play with the big boys you have to be able to compete and sell in the U.S Market. It's just a fact.
Another fact is that nobody in the U.S knows or cares about SE Devices. You think Nokia is non-existant in the states? SE bubbles in under them in the less than zero chart.
It's hard to compete when people only associate TV's and Game Systems with your name.
Branding...Branding...Branding

hvc, 04 Oct 2011well Android is a democracy. the rest are dictatorships. ... moreI wouldn't call democratic the fact that to use any network personal data like gps signal or web search and browse history demands approval of sharing it with strangers. All famous oss are not innocent at all,and they cause bad feelings like anger and jealousness.

Nijesh, 04 Oct 2011To be in the competition.... try to make the phone which ha... moreWhat's wrong with the Arc's build quality, mate? It doesn't have an aluminium finish, is that what's bothering you? What top-end phone offers you an aluminium finish? The iPhone? No. The SGSII? No. The HTC Sensation? No. I don't see what your problem is. The build quality is perfectly fine. If it's the plastic that's bothering you, almost all phones are made from plastic, including the hot-selling SGSII.
Regarding having the "latest, updated OS," it's already got the latest version of Android, which is 2.3.3, with 2.3.4 slated for a release any time in October. They've done extremely well with updates for their new XPERIA line-up so far, unlike they'd done with their earlier product line, which had brought about their downfall. Don't say they do not update.
I don't see any problem with having to charge a phone each day, either. I've been doing that, in fact, with every phone that I've used to date. The phone could do with a slightly higher-capacity battery, I agree, but it's not as bad as you make it seem. I'm able to pull through a day with ease, with more than half the power remaining. It all depends on your usage. If you're going to be constantly on the web throughout the day, constantly checking for emails, making a lot of phone calls, then ANY phone's battery is going to drain. On top of that, the larger the display, the higher the resolution, the more the battery drain there's going to be.
I agree they could've used Gorilla glass for the display, but other than that, there's not much fault with the phone.

Mind you, the company's been through a significantly bad phase. To turn their fortunes around, they needed to go with the one OS that was doing well on the market, with iOS, the other one, not being an option to them. Going for WP7, at this stage, with the OS not being so well received as of yet, would've been like driving the nail into their own coffin. They could've spent a substantial amount of money on designing/producing WP7 phones, but if the phones didn't do well, as we've seen with WP7 devices so far, it could very well turn out to be another major financial blow to them. They're just playing it safe as of now, but I'm sure they'll move on to WP7 once it becomes popular, which I'm certain it will.
