I could build a custom ... moreMacbooks are really stronger when it comes to User Experience, and thus windows doesn't perform well in Music Studios and even in Editing(video, coloring) the display in Macs are always calibrated compared to Windows runned devices.

all these specs for a 2000+ laptop. I could build a custom rig with all these specs and better for 700$. you could even download the OS free. all this money wasted for just a logo. what is the gpu even capable for? low graphic at 1080p lol 30-60fps?

Razer got better GPU,better thermal,better screen,full usb ports along with thunderbolt type C gen 2 , thinner bezels and better keyboard and above all that you can upgrade your storage,your RAM even your WIFI unlike your Macbook they even removed the live boat connector that used to be on Macbook 2017 in case anything happens to macbook you can transfer your data but with Macbook pro 2018 they removed it so if your macbook died all your storage would die with it

Also i bet it's under 3kg,... moreThere are so many different classes of laptops; ultrabook, business workhorse, workstation, gaming, home/student budget... They all have different size, weight, battery life, price, and performance expectations. My MSI Apache from a couple of years ago would outperform these in many ways, but it's larger, heavier, and can only go a few hours on battery - i.e. is not a valid model for comparison.

The only (small) blemishes I have are on the edges of the metal, where over time, the aluminium gets scratched/chipped off. They are absolutely tiny, but still visible with the naked eye when you bring the laptop closer. And mine gets a lot of dirt/lint buildup on the little exit holes of the fans, which is between the hinges.
Otherwise, its immaculate and New Condition. Not too shabby for 3 years of abuse.

Foundation, 14 Jul 2018Aero 15X is like better than MacBook in GPU and inferior in... morewell it does have a bigger battery than event he 15 inch MacBook pro, with a 94 watt hour battery. As some reviewers say, it lasts around 8 to 7 houses of moderate use and just under 2 hours of gaming and what not, a little lower than the so called 10 hour battery life for the MacBook pro's.

These MacBook Pros have Touchbar which means when something goes wrong with the MacBook Pro and you want to press Esc key, you find out that the Touchbar display (contains the ESC software key) is not functioning and that creates an inconvenience (Need to send to Apple means wasting $$ unless you have warranty) unlike proper Windows laptops which HARDWARE ESC key is SUPERIOR and USEFUL. For Old Pete's sake, there are not enough ports and moreover there are still many USB Type-A devices around for compatibility reasons. You will need to waste $$ on a dongle to connect USB Type-A devices. And what happens if your home or office depends on LAN connection? You waste $$ again on a dongle to connect the Ethernet cable. And what happens when your office projector depends on VGA? You waste $$ on another dongle to connect to VGA cable. And I can't stand the omission of MagSafe port (Prevents the connector from slipping out accidentally) which Steve Jobs would roll in his grave. Thankfully Apple did not went FULL RETARD to DROP the HEADPHONE JACK on MacBook Pros and calls that "COURAGE" (Oops, did I give Apple an idea?). Sorry but I don't want to have so MANY DONGLES just to connect to legacy devices and cables that get EASILY LOST. I prefer laptops with MANY PORTS as possible to reduce the need of dongles.

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2018No Ryzen option is disappointing.I dont think AMD has any equivalent SOC to compete with 8th gen intel. They only have quad core CPU at 15w TDP which Apple is not using anyway.

If we compare Mac pro i7 specs at price $2799 with Razer blade 15 at $2599 the $200 difference but it get you 144hz monitor, GTX 1070 Max-Q and thunderbolt 3.0 ports which you could attach it to external GPU of your liking and guess what you can upgrade the RAM and SSD...

Modern MAC devices can't playback M4A video format files, which is the standard for most android phones. You can't even edit the video on Final Cut pro. You have to buy extra software just to make it compatible to play. I'm not paying a 1,799 laptop to tell me it can't play a standard file.
I used to love to edit on my macbook pro. But ever since the update to El Capitan and higher, its like Apple intentionally wants to make it harder for 3rd party companies to work with it.

Laptops are pretty thin now and I don't get whats the point in paying a lot of money for just a slight reduction in thickness compared to competitors.

But you are comparing a machine that is bigger, heavier, bulkier. Why not compare a MacBook Pro to a Dell XPS 13 or a top end Zenbook or Surface book. Actual portable, thin and light window's machines
