I don't think it's gonna happen. Well, maybe Sprint would really bet its entire future in this iPhone 5, but for Apple's point of view this is a bad deal.
Why? Because how many Sprint subscribers could meet the iPhone5's sales target? And when you are hoping the subscribers would change to Sprint? hmmm... not likely all ppl wld do that.
Not to mention that this is a crucial time for post-Job-Apple period so I think Apple's gonna open his business as wide as possible to get the maximum buyer.

AnonD-24281, 04 Oct 2011Sprint are the only one with unlimited data i think that's ... moreThat's a very valid point you're making, but many other countries around the world (Germany, Australia, etc.) have never offered 'unlimited', or are undoing unlimited plans because it is too expensive to run.
So unless Apple strike some sort of deal that iCloud service is unlimited (like some do with Social Networking), I'm afraid it won't take off.
Only when I can be assured 100% that the service won't cost me extra, no matter what plan I'm on, will I use it.
And of course, that's where most providers would rake in their money - overage pricing is really expensive still, and something like iCloud would simply fuel the fire. The mess this would create would bring the service to a crippling halt.

Sprint are the only one with unlimited data i think that's the main reason for sprint to have exclusivity. In icoud everything will be store in the could you need to internet.

Vodafone and Telstra have certainly put out teasers, and you'd expect something better than a 4S, going by the hype that has been created.
And don't get me wrong, a beefed up 4S would still be great, but not worth me buying if a '5' is just around the corner.
And they better not dare releasing the 5 for Sprint, and let the rest of the world wait until next year.

That would be so funny if it is true. Srpint does need this tho. They have been getting good phones but people are crazy about the iphone and they know folks will just which over just for that phone.

i don't think so ... what will happen next year or two years from now, when iphone6 will come out? who will buy 2 years old phone then?? not to mention that in 4 years iphone5 will be antique like t-rex ;)

Sounds like BS. The iPhone 5 will be released globally eventually. No Euro carrier has Wimax. Maybe there will be a wimax version for sprint. But the phone will not be sprint exclusive. Thats silly.
