Sure....Sprint will regret on their BAD decision soon...I foresee it...
Nokia is on the way building Metro UI Microsoft phones which attracted lot of potential customers....android is becoming strong and powerful.
Samsung comes with flavor of Tizen (Meego revised)...I don't see good future of i-phone in next few years..:)
Apple will be successful...Not Sprint.

Josan, 04 Oct 2011Smart move by sprint. They are taking risks but I think it'... moreAnd you think that everybody is moving around with 1000$ in his pocket to get an iPhone 5 from sprint or somewhere else? At least I'll think 100 times before buying Apple if they still not offer USB data transfer or Bluetooth, I even didn't move 2 years back when there were HTC HD2 and iPhone 4G. Now again many questions for Apple again.... You'll definitely not buy Apple 4GS but there are million of people and Apple Fans (not me:) who cannot afford Apple iPhone 5 and that's a reality.

I'm not Apple fan but it never meant that I hate it either but there are very few issues that stop me to buy iPhone.

so...this means...The Iphone 6 will not be out till after 2014-15....or this is the worst deal anyone has ever made. I will stay on Verison and just wait for next iphone...or until sprint in not HORRIBLE!! At least in WI.

I like more Digital than GSM and Sprint has one of the faster networks around, Good!!! Maybe I will get one for return to Digital and make new test on it...

But for now I still waiting for other new GSM phones to came around...

It just wouldnt make sense for Apple to turn their backs on their loyal customers with the current providers. So many of us have been putting up with the obsolete iPhone 3-3GS in order to get this iPhone 5, and now they're going to tell us that only the new guys are going to get it? Doesn't sound very intelligent to me on Apples part!

Who the hell cares about IPhone anymore... I love that Sprint still has the unlimitade everything plan, but no Windows Phone devices (only the Arrive) and taking away the 1 year upgrade for customers w/over 10 yrs of service is a disgrace! The streak of my hard earned money (via a deal)going to this piece of crap known as Iphone.... What a mess!

ATT&T, HERE I COME! Thanks for carrying Windows Phone Mango, thru the end of this year and the beginning of the next...

I agree with nVd! The American success modle was built on satisfying customer needs first. This agreement, if true, will lead to loss of millions of iPhone customers who may not want to hook uo to Sprint. In short, this is not an appropriate strategy for Apple. I doubt that Steve Jobbs woud have agreed to it.

Smart move by sprint. They are taking risks but I think it's worth it. I think alot of customers will move to sprint just to get the iPhone. Once they start getting more customes and they will make up for $20 billion. Nobody would want to get iPhone 4s if there is iPhone 5. I wouldn't do get iPhone 4s.

Does it mean, Apple will loose rest of customers who are not at sprint? If it's so then Apple would be nowhere in US after 4 years. Will they be fool enough to loose rest of US for 20$ billion?

This report is pretty solid. Especially when you consider the fact that sprint does offer unlimited data combined with the HSDPA + feature of the iphone 5

                                RIP - SPRINT

Instead of spending that 20 billion to improve coverage and upgrade network to proper LTE. To compete.

They are buying itoys fail sprint fail.

If so, Sprint may have just dug themselves out of a spiraling hole.
