I almost like everything about an iPhone, but iOS. May sound ironical since most people like iPhones because of iOS. The video format support is still limited. Bluetooth may or may not work. The media transfer to the phone is so difficult (even transferring a custom ringtone needs work). Backup is clumsy unless you go for a premium iCloud account (and then, it costs you data). Exporting contacts is not easy. Too many limitations; truly, a walled garden.

As far as I can tell, and also depending where you live, the Meizu 16 Plus seems like a good fit, problem is, it's a good OS but needs work when it comes to updates.
Hm, a phone with huge size, battery, and a nice and functional OS.....as far as I can tell, the iPhone X Plus fits that pretty well

I would look for a phablet now that has 845, 6/8 GB RAM, 128/256 GB storage, great battery life and smooth OS. Looks like OnePlus 6 and Asus Zenfone 5z may meet my expectations at a budget, but I'm not quite sure about battery life of either of them (both have 3300 mAh). But if I decide to have battery case, one of these may be good. Let's see whether some vendor can come up with the specs above with a giant screen and humongous battery life. :)

If you had read my previous comments well (which you have replied to), you wouldn't behave like an LG fanboy (or an LG rep). Let me remind you: Bootloop, only one gen OS upgrade, extremely poor battery life...these are not qualities of a flagship. And, I'm sure LG OS is responsible for screwing my Samsung 10x pro 64 GB microSD card as well. There is an IR remote in G4 that works with my LG TV only, and is compatible with a very limited number of hardware that I don't have. LG TV, fridge, washing machine, AC probably yes again, but an LG phone = NEVER again for me.

mukhi, 16 Jul 2018I have been using SD808 in my LG G4 since 2015, and it alre... morethere is no cheating because cpu is not the only factor on a smartphone in order to get flagship name ... they called like that because it had the camera, sound, display and functionality to be called like that I have one and I don't feel it like a midrange by any means....the camera is far superior than even some recent flagships ..... now I have a lg g5 too. and it is faster and better in some departments... but I don't feel like g4 is worst by any means if you llok just on benchmark numbers then no cell phone is good for you but I pay attention to what I like and is a well balanced phone... g4 runs the same apps and games that my g5 and they run fine no lag.....so what's the point of it..... even I still keep sd 800 lg g2 and that processor is excellent I don't fell it lags and can play games and apps as good as my g4 or g5.... and according to bench marks the g4 has 30-40% increased performance and if put g5 it should smoke it but I don't feel that difference sorry but benchmark as just marketing ..... only apps which demands powerful cpu+gpu are dolphin and damonps2 emulators .....other than that you are wasting money

Again, hardly common user experience. So yeah, it is better to have better CPU and more RAM. For you, because you are willing to pay for that to have those 3D modeling app running optimal. You are still not making case for anyone else though...
You seem to not understand the concept of value for money factor. I'm not going to explain it to you. Just do some reading. People who buy Apple or Samsung flagships are not doing so because of value for money factor. They are doing so despite it. Because they value some other things more, perhaps they just want to have the very best that is available or they go after something they are used to. Apple users are like that I guess.

And here, better CPUs do better. So, I'll still say: Better to have better CPU and more RAM. Value for money? Are you serious in claiming that people who buy S9+ or iPhone X or XZ2 Premium don't value their money? The definition of value is different for different people for different needs and in different circumstances. I am already using SD808 with 100+ apps in my phone, and I won't like to downgrade my CPU. And, 845 >> 636 for the apps I use it seems, PERIOD.

No, for most people it's not, because of poor 'value for money' factor that top spec smartphones have. Most people don't use your specific software (very CPU demanding but not games). Again, out of curiosity, what software? I use productivity and educational apps myself and they are hardly CPU dependent. Certainly not to the point of making me buy modern SD 8xx phone 'because 6xx may be not enough'.

Perhaps that is because it's a statement you just came up with. That not something I claim.

There are not so many widely popular aps that are CPU demanding to the point they offer vastly different experience for SD 8xx users in contrast to 6xx users. If you are into mobile gaming, then buy gaming smartphone. If you are not (like, you know, most grown up people), you are interested in smooth android experience mostly which 8-core 6xx snapdragon is perfectly capable of providing.
