The picture is certainly NOT SuperAmoled. The backlight is terribly apparent, and not indicative of a SuperAMOLED screen whatsoever. Either way, SuperAMOLED has a long ways to go before it reaches the higher resolution 320ppi resolution claimed in this post.

Djhg2000, 05 Oct 2011Anyone else notice the backlight bleed just above the butto... moreThat's not backlight bleed because those buttons are part of the screen. There's no where for the backlight to actually bleed from.

I just hope they don't price it through the roof...but they probably will...

Looks a bit fishy considering it's supposed to be a Super AMOLED. (This could also be a gradient from the app)

Also, wasn't it supposed to have a 4.65" display?
Assuming the home button is centered, judging by the size and pattern of the hand, it does look a bit smaller than that.
(The soft buttons could be aligned to the left)

The somewhat thick bezel and silver frame? I'll leave that one up to you guys.

This looks more like an LCD-based device, based on the bleed in the black background. I have doubts that this is the Prime... lots of other devices are coming out with large screen resolutions, and the bezel on this seems too large to be functionally compatible with a 4.6" display anyway. Much more likely that this is a 4" LCD display on some other device.

Resolution is too high for size.
Waste of processing power as well.

whats the point of having the curve display. I see the point of the N9 having curve display which is to make swiping easier but to have the screen curve inwards makes no sense.

What I love the most about my samsung galaxy ll is the super amoled display. It's super fast takes stunning photos. 1080p videos. I love using swype. The thing it's so accurate. I am dissapointed that it won't have 1280x720 pixels. Still. Its still the best phone of the year and I love it to bits. Waiting for repair I had to go back to my ancient 5800. Not I can not imagine my mobile experience without a GSll. I will wait for the galaxy Slll. That will be a stunner!

It says it has a 320ppi pixel density . . . but 720p on a 4.3" screen would be ~342ppi. Something isn't stacking up here. (Edit duh 4.6"......too big imho)

So is this phone a little better or a TON better than the Galaxy S 2?

I like the home button, I wish there was an option, having an iPod4 and a Samsung phone I can appreciate the home button to the tiny little silver barley sticking out somewhere on the right near the top....I don't know much, but it seems so much faster in a way.

I bet the curve here is different from the Nexus S, it's even curvIER. lol
I guess the curve measures an arc angle of 45 degrees.
