AnonD-731363, 17 Jul 2018Buy nbose in terms of sounmd quality is best available. J... moreHmm sony 1000x m2 with Ldac imo is better than bose.. unless you prefer more of a bass headset.. Also vocals and trebled are harder to produce over bluetooth.. Also from many reviews the distortion of the sony 1000x m2 is less at a higher volume than bose qc35 ii and in terms of noise cancellation.. well it still behind the 1000x m2.
It does superior build quality though.

For me Bose offers best soud quality earphones you can buy for money.
This cant be comparable with any other brand.

Nick Tagataka, 17 Jul 2018Future but worse as a technology in terms of sound quality.depends on usb-c to jack connector, wonder if there us someone testing their quality, phone's payback quality means a little now with ext jack with unkn specs.
Still, sony seems to care the most with close to hi res wireless and usb-to-jack with other usb-c for charging.
See what offer others, like apple.

It's not the lack of the 3.5mm jack that's driving me crazy, it's that I can't have headphones WHILST charging the phone.
Add a secondary USB-C port at least. Or make a cable that will allow me to do both in the same time.
And don't give me the higher quality bla bla bla cos I'm not buying it. Nothing compares to using at least a small amplifier with wired headphones.

Shanti Dope, 17 Jul 2018One great thing that I see about the move to USB C as headp... moreTruthfully the 3.5mm jack hasn't changed at all I mean it's the same there May be difference in what it's connected to inside the phone e.g a DAC like in LG phone's.. I like the fact USB C is so versatile I can see it replacing the standard USB A connector long term it's smaller so.. and better transfer rates. My main ish is to convert the sound it needs a dac on the outside.. currently.. would be nice if they could implement a dac inside the phone to convert from analong to digital signal. Also I wouldn't mind if there was a Easyer way to change the USB C connector as I can just see connectors being snapped of more than that of 3.5mm connector.

Want to see unedited camera samples... And hopefully some surprise, besides main camera/processor/screen...

So I know how painful that was. Of course USB-C is a great thing. But still, headphone should not be removed. At least not yet.

Shanti Dope, 17 Jul 2018Best camera smartphone in class goes to.......Sony!The still camera still goes to S9 and P20 Pro, sorry man. XZ2 Premium takes the best photos under "extreme low light conditions" - and they only consist of 5% of the photos taken by smartphones, according to Sony.

Type-C brings some new features to audio experience. That's true. But you don't have to remove the jack to benefit from that.

Shanti Dope, 17 Jul 2018You know it's the same story when USB C was introduced, rig... moreyou know when usb c came with phones, the phones itself came with usb c cables bundled?! so, cant compare this with headphone jack because some brands dont trow a usb c to 3.5mm jack into the bundle when they sell it, see HTC U12: dont have headphone jack and even they didnt came with the fkng "5 cents" adapter...

cutting corners again?! because the adapter is so cheap they can put it but NO, they are jealous and need your money so if you want a "original" HTC usb c to 3.5mm jack you need to pay for it.

                                    MONEY, all because the money.

Again, this cant be compared to usb c or micro usb, because they are inside the boxes, and if you need more of course you need to buy but from the unbox of the new device you have the damn cable, with this in some times you dont.

AnonD-241270, 17 Jul 2018They are doing because crApple doing it, so, if some brand ... moreYou know it's the same story when USB C was introduced, right??
People already had a lot of microUSB cables, but they had no other choice but to adjust to change, which is also for their own benefit in the end.
Besides, there are adapters for those who still want to use their old 3.5mm headphones. We should still be thankful for having options and alternatives. Can't imagine life not having any other choice.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 20183.5mm jack was universal for all audio equipment. That was ... moreNo it's not. At least not completely.
I had some Nokia "dumbphones" in the past, and it had a strange headphone jack; a 2.5mm instead of the proper 3.5mm.
USB C, on the other hand, can't be replaced by anything else, unless the manufacturer wants to spend a lot of money into making their own, like Apple's Lightning Port.

We change because we want and need something better. This is the beginning of it.
That's why I always avoid being attached too much on things, because it will be very hard for me to let go of them by the time that they have to go.
