This is not religion. This is not about belief. This is about facts and evidence. You claim a lot and provide nothing, which means you are trolling at this point.
You bring up phone sales as if it matters. News flash, it does not. The quality of a phone or lack of it has NOTHING to do with the amount of phones sold. Do you expect a company that launched their first phones in 2017 suddenly manage to sell 100,000,000 smartphones?! You talk about logic and yet write the most illogical stuff.
Good job changing the subject again. It's not about HMD being the real nokia, which they are not. This is about your baseless claim that all their R&D expenses are covered by foxconn which is already proven false.
No, I'm a normal user with no ties to any phone company but one thing that I cannot stand is people like you spreading baseless claims with zero proof. If you write falsehoods about samsung, I will respond the same way.
The saddest part is, you cannot accept the truth and move on. You don't have an account and don't get notifications and yet keep checking the comments on this now old article and keep writing the same thing to satisfy your ego. You were and are wrong. Accept and move on.

I ain't gonna give to any app, no matter what and how "trustworthy" they are, root acces to my device. And nope, the bloatware will never be really gone. Because the software it self, in all to customized smartphones, is crappware, try deleting useless settings, see how that's working. Or crappy codes inside it, that force adds into settings menu and notification system. Oh and so many other flows that only one person that has no ideaa how stuff behind the scene actually work, can be satifsied with. Now, am.not saying google is way better in this aspect. But at least i do not have two problems. Google privacy concern and oem's privacy concern. I "fight only on one field" good enough for me. Yes, i have some cool apps with them, i can do some pretty interesting stuff, but not once have they lagged down my device and as long as they respect me as a private person. Yes of course i study the behaviour off all apps i install. Of course i study trafic, ip adresses they try to conect to and the funky ones go bye bye. Something harder to control and pinpoint when the whole OS is a crapp.

Keep it sinple for me, mea... moreI know, for stock Android or near stock Android (with 2 diff apps preinstalled in Nokia case) you need a lot of 3 party apps or 'software' to made it customizable in way you like, a lot.. Thats a reason why exist different skins from different oems with 1000 option build in, also fast as those 'stock' smartphones. Yep bloatware is there, but nothing you can't remove in a couple of minutes with root access.

You are the one who wrote that Foxconn recently invest money, and i am the one who wrote that Foxconn is there from begining. You write what you read somwhere on the web, what someone else says or write, and you make statment like yours or belive in that, and im the one who knows that.. Thats a difference. About user name, it's random, it does not matter, user name does not make difference in knowlege, also Samsung is not only one OEM who made phones, but is one of the best (in flagship segment, for me and that enough). Fact is that this site is about phones, fact is that you write 10 comments for startup company, you write they are from Finland, Helsinki, Espoo.. It seems that this HMD Nokia is more original Nokia, than Nokia if you read your own comments you will see. You need to wait some time (months, maybe years), to HMD have own skin. For now only Motorola, and Nokia lacks originality, both names use someone else (Lenovo, HMD).. So one way another, does not matter who invest, does not matter from what country is HMD, doea not matter wghere are those phones made China, or Finland. Like you see GMD sold 8.5 mil smartphones in 2017, and thats not good. Most of the people dont know that phones with 'Nokia' name exist from 2017-2018, HMD does not have marketing at all, al least here.. So why you write 10 comments for something like that? Are you HMD employee or what?

So now you change the subject to phones?! I don't care about phones here. I don't care if nokia phones are utter garbage or masterpieces. They don't matter. The point of the discussion was "is foxconn paying their R&D?", which they weren't since HMD was founded in 2016 and foxconn invested in them for the first time just 2 months ago for a mere 70 millions, out of about 1 billion dollars.
I've also already stated that I won't buy an X5 and do not plan on buying a mediatek phone, but of course you ignored that too.
For someone with a username like that, you sure throw a lot of stones.

Foxconn invested just recently for the FIRST time in HMD. They don't own anything yet, but do you know how much they'll get once HMD goes public? 7%. That's not even close to a majority share. Even Microsoft conf that after (only) one and a half year existing W10m on the market (officialy).. Yes, those new Nokia phones have good build quality (most of them), have that stock version (if you like simplicity). Sony have good software in my opinion, also great optimization, speed on of the best, but camera is still behind others like Apple, Samsung, Google, also this flow design.. is not really good, Omnibalance was better.

Man i write that Foxconn pays to HMD Global Oy for R&D, you write back that Foxconn is not Chinese? Did i say that is, ad where? Or did i write that people thinks for HMD that is Chinese company, just because Foxconn have lot of fabric in that country, every OEM assembling phones in Foxconn, mostly in China (Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, Huawei, Sony) HMD.. well that is for them like home place :P
Then you say, give evidence. Well if you have one person for half EU for PR, if you're startup company, if you have (only 500 emp). You tell me, how is possible to make new phones, how is possible to pays for new phones, how is possible to made agreement with Google (for Android Oner programm), how is possible to use and pays to NOkia (original Nokia) licencing, how is possible to bays from Microsoft about 500 patetnts etc.. I mean you can always write, no this is not Foxconn (it seem that only you don't know that) this is money investment from around world... End it seems that you really like this combination, notch + MediateK (even in this price, even in 50$ range..) So.. about what discussion you talk about?.. :)
