Galaxy Note9 shows up in renders in Lilac Purple

A couple of weeks before the announcement, there's not much for Samsung to surprise us with.

Amit Dey, 22 Jul 2018Why one camera is bigger then the other, it is looking odd ... moreThe aperture diameter on that one is bigger, most of the time this warrants a bigger front element unless they're aiming for serious vignetting, but I agree that the design is ugly.

I think what happened is that the recent "Porsche Design" copycats of Samsung designs(Mate 9 PD: Samsung S6E and S7E, Mate 10 PD, Mate RS: from S8 on) made Samsung afraid to use any back design remotely similar to the Mate RS's, even though the Mate RS's front looks very Samsung(except the logo of course) in the first place.

I dont know why people hate this. I prefer this non-mainstream design better than any same looking camera module of every smartphone out there. It is 'unique' and not boring at least. To be honest not a fan of rectangular shape on this phone. So many rectangle. The phone, camera module and even fingerprint sensor all rectangle. For all the haters, be rejoice as this may be the last Note series phone by Samsung. Stop complaining about you not going to buy this phone because it just minor upgrade from Note8. Nobody expect you to buy it anyway. Btw, for people who dont understand the color; lilac flower is actually pale purple and quite pinkish.

Why one camera is bigger then the other, it is looking odd the positioning of everything at back is still not lined up properly for a good looking smartphone. Overall design very minor upgrades, not noticeable at all. Let's see what is the hardware changes then S9 Plus

Geric.770, 21 Jul 2018But, removing the S+ series and replace it with the Note se... moreI agree. Get rid of the silly S series and stick to the Note series. That has more pedigree and its features are unparalleled in the market. There is no competition and Samsung can justify the high price tag its demanding for it. The S series is pointless in comparison.

Same design... I waited for an year but won’t buy it now... That is why Nokia declined... If you will not give innovation in your products, customers have got other choices as well...

Phonenerf, 21 Jul 2018you could disable bixby, use a custom launcher and substrat... moreThat I know. But that is not the solution. Why? Bcoz,
                      1. That hardware bixby button still stays and a playstore remapper app though remaps it, it still requires you to sign into samsung account and keep FEW bixby services(not all) up and running for the remapper to work. Also, Samsung is not in favour of any such app, so a possibility of getting such apps removed from playstore always remains.
                      2. Custom launcher simply changes the layout and makes it snappier, but does not remove those ugly uncountable samsung services that make the phone a shitphone in the first place.
                      3. Rooting and removing crapwares and installing Custom ROMs resolve issues to a great level but then it also comes at the cost of triggering knox counter , voiding warranty, welcoming malware and spyware, reselling issues...
I have had enough of Samsung throughout the years with all Samsung Flagships. I am bored of them now, especially after tasting Pixels and Oxygenos and super fluidity that comes along with those phones.

Screwdriver, 21 Jul 2018Bixby 2.0 right? ROFLMAO. I would pay extra $150 for a bix... moreyou could disable bixby, use a custom launcher and substratum and you will have it for just a couple $.

Maybe I am color blind, but I'm pretty sure that looks more pink than purple.

Other than that, it's clear this is not for the Note 8 or S9(and +) users.

May be the last Note ever made by Samsung.

                                        Bixby 2.0 right? ROFLMAO.
I would pay extra $150 for a bixbyfree, bloatwarefree version of Note 9. And would pay Extra $50 for a superior charging similar to Dash charging or VOOC charging.
Since Samsung won't do that, I will not buy it and will wait for Pixel 3 XL or OnePlus 6T.
