Why Apple does not make a phone that support world wide networks?
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
I would like to have an iphone, but my carrier network does not support it (1700 & 2100).

I preordered a black 64gb unit from AT&T but I will sell it on Ebay and buy an Unlocked version when they go for sale somewhere around November 18th.

Maybe they just can't keep up with the fast improvement of Android (especially Samsung with the Galaxy S II and then the S III expected to be out maybe Feb 2012), it would be a shame to have just minor improvements so they may have decided to just name it iPhone "4S". Anyway it is just my speculation. My opinion is based on popular perception that Android in general is fast improving as compared to the iOS.
They ALREADY postponed the iPhone5 w/c was expected last summer. They made people wait until October only to show up with a 4S? Something is not right. In a few months there will be better Android phones than the SGSII -which right now is the king of Smartphones- so I don't know how the iPhone series can keep up with this fast paced competition.

For sure is not the best screen on market, but still has more and best games/apps, the system is more stable and you know you will receive updates at least for 2 years.
No doubt its the best phone system for me.
I will get one!!!

I got my iPhone 4 a year ago thru a 2 year contract with globe dishing out around php15k. Definitely love the phone since then.. Seriously, i will be getting the 4s as an update and probably sell my old unit when the new iphone is released here in the Phils., I tried android and while it's great I'd still prefer iOS since it suits my needs, never fails on my expectations. Though, I'm thinking of getting sgs3 as an alternate phone if there will be but hopefully android is more smoother by that time.

I was initially upset about the 4s but then I thought with the dual core and A5 processor, Apple can now bring even better quality games and apps which will take a long time to come to Android... So yes I think its worth the updrade from iPhone4...

i cant believe apple did nothing in 15 months since iPhone 4 launched only to refresh the hardware and launch the 4S. My guess is that there is a iphone 5 which is getting delayed due to last minute technical/mfrg issues and that this could be launched anytime in the next 6 months. the 4s is a stop gap to give something to the holiday season. So i am waiting....

It doesnt matter how disappointed I was with the lack of Iphone 5 I will still be upgrading my iphone 4 for the 4s.....
Nothing else really shines for me.....

iPhone 4S is seeing extraordinary demand
Demand for the iPhone 4S appears to be very strong, with AT&T having reported that it alone had taken 200,000 orders in the first 12 hours of availability.
This year, AT&T alone saw over 200,000 pre-orders in half the time. Unlike last year, the new iPhone 4S is now also available on Verizon and Sprint in the U.S, which will account for many other U.S. preorders. Despite being split across three carriers, AT&T says that this is "the most successful iPhone launch we’ve ever had".
