If it's true, the only thing that stopping the announcement is that the device are not ready yet or the software and hardware has some major flaws that needs some ironing. Or the hardware specification is not ready to compete with the latest devices such as the iPhone 4S and the LG with HD display.

they were expecting the iPhone to have a 4" screen and thought that Apple would help change the mindset that >4" screen phones are too big... unfortunately for them, Apple probably realized their plans and stuck with their 3.5" size... NOW if Samsung release a phone with a 4.6" screen when the market standard is 3.5" marketing is going to be hell.
