I've decided. No matter how ugly this phone will be, I would buy it.
Fantastic Camera, speedy performance and stock pure Android with timely updates --- since this is a rare combo, take my money.

Also a 50 quid set of ear phones.. unless you buy beats.. junk.. is better than a 150 quid set of Bluetooth earphones.. Also if you take the LG with the decent dac and the note or S galaxy line as you mention which have decent audio.. output. Specifically 32-bit/384khz..
The best Bluetooth headset imo that is closest to wired supports Ldac.. And they still doesn't match wired.
As I said... tone deaf.. Bluetooth currently can't transmit the same amount as wired can.. it's a fact..

tone deaf my butt, you need a high end headphones to listen to good quality music and it depends on the phone DAC if its good and software and other factors. even if you have that headphone jack if your phone outputs crappy audio its still the same, if your headphone are just mid range or mediocre, that port is still useless

someone, 01 Aug 2018I will still be happy with that .. at least i know my works... moresounds like sour graping to me. never have i encountered at least in my group of friends that are satisfied with yesterdays version of android, if their oems cannot update their phones with the current version, the go to xda and find a stable current version of android. at least most of them has the knowledge of installing a custom rom on their phone but majority of android users does not have the know how on installing custom roms
that what they all say bugs this bugs that. at least the current version of android is a little better than the previous version. not a single os or software in the world is bug free BUT BUT BUT the latest version patches exploit that makes you open to hacking, that is MORE important than bugs.

The screen space you gain has very little practical usage. You can fit just about the time, battery and signal indicators and next to none in terms of notification icons.
Compare to phones like the OP6 where the small notch grants you a lot of usable space. A lot still don't like it, but it works for me. The new breed of tall, notched, phones are awesome for browsing.

SadSoul, 31 Jul 2018Well, I agree with you as I love to sail smoothly keeping a... moresad soul i gree with u design should be at least OKayish especially if we are paying 800$ to 900$ that's why i will wait for the final product before i comment about the design and as we know design isn't really company trademark since the beginning like pixel 1,2 but that doesn't relay stopped them from becoming the people choice in high-end mobile segment even though it's a very young company with the 2 or 3 years history.
