The irony of things... when IPX was release every android users bashed the notch, now google itself embraced the notch, wonder what will be the excuse of android users now to justify the notch

OK, i have to say I'm not excited with the design so far. The notch is DEEP. Meaning it is deeper than other android phones that has a notch, say P20Pro, or the Oneplus6. So meaning the notch on the Pixel3 is now wider, and deeper, covering more of the screen than others. And the bezels, OMG they are huge too. Not befitting of a "flagship" 2018 phone honestly.

They have a camera game that allows them that freedom. Microsoft pioneered it with the Surface line, they were not making a mass market device. They raised the bar, we all benefitted. Google should do the same. Samsung, LG,HTC et al, they are all too scared to take a risk. Be nice to see a Pixel with a stylus, or some different backs. This glass back nonsense is beyond me.

What you are talking is the Nexus line up which was purely meant for developers. Did u see any ads for Nexus ? And how many ads do u see for pixel.

I just wish they would get more radical with materials. Polycarbonate, ceramic, cork, anything but glass on the back. They don't need sales, indeed, they don't even push them hard. Leave mass adoption to Huawei or Samsung. Get experimental, push the materials. Glass is quite possibly the worst material for a device that gets handled, as much as a phone. Might as well have glass soles shoes or tyres.

The bonus with S9+ or XZ2P is that they both have the SD card slot. Take this away and I'm suddenly not interested anymore.
