Go on you tube, search nrowser mark, galaxy s 2 just seen 94800 with firefox 5 beta... Guess performance will increase a fair bit with ICS if its dual core optimised

I just ran Sunspider benchmark with my SINGLE CORE Galaxy S overclocked to 1.4Ghz and my result was 2389ms.
That effectively makes it as fast as the new dual core Apple iphone 4S on that benchmark. The benchmarks you show run only on a single core or run GPU-accelerated for the i-devices and not for the Androids.
Yes the new iphone has a incredible GPU faster than current generation devices but that is the reason the scores you show are so inflated towards the iphones.
In real usage scenario, a Galaxy SII is faster browsing the web and at multitasking simply because of it's superior processor. The iphone is really good rendering web sites that can be GPU-accelerated and that is where it's power lies. If you run the same GPU-acceleration with an android device (that is where you use browsers such as Opera from the market instead of the stock browsers), you will see that Android devices score just as high.
I simply do not think this test was fair considering the devices tested. It DID show that iphones have an amazing GPU but it mistakenly implies iphones (even single core ones) have faster CPUs when compared to other phones.

[deleted post]It's a real of strategy by Apple. There are tons of articles that doesnt say the 4S is a success, but it is defnitly a strong strategy.
It's simple. Most 4's users are still bound to their 2 year contracts. They will not get a 5 now. But 3GS users, those were only expecting to buy something new. 4S came to them.

I will probably buy the iPhone 5 as it will be a very beautifull peace of phone (I use Apple for Work, hate Blackberries and I cant use Android as Im going to mod it hehehehe).

And I underclocked it to 1.0 Ghz and undervolted all frequencies. Im getting 24 hours of normal use, 48 hours on weekends. Pretty nice.
I will buy iPhone 5 for sure as I cant have an android for work, I will mod it and IT guys will come all over me. hahaha

If Apple clocked the A5 at 1.2 GHz like the Exynos then it would have been a different story. The A5 at 800 MHz is already right up there with the big guns.
I was hoping for an iPhone 5 but I guess I'll stick to my SGS 2 for a year more. I'll just flash MIUI as a tribute to Apple.

ios is a nice os as its smooth but, i hate that the iphone dont have the back button, drop it and bam u have a shattered iphone, its small and still heavy, the screen is to small and not even wide enough, very basic with basic option. Remember i said the ios is smooth, also remember i said its basic, well put them together and ur gonna get better results with the os, but i dont want basic, this is y android rocks in my opinion. My SGSII is lighter, better screen, bounces wen droped thanks to the durable plastic and the super amoled plus screen, well i say no more.
If u talk to any iphone users ull notice one thing they all have in common, they havent a clue about fones and thinks coz it has a apple icon the fone is the best. Then i come along and ask them if there fone can do this, can do that and they look at me to say, erm, ok i see wat ya sayin ;-)

Am not an apple fanboy nor an android fanboy..but I have to agree that iOS r for kids...apple came in as a brand value...people bought them for their excellent built and touch quality...now if v compare the touch and quality...all phones r da same and some r better...and now I come to SIRI..practically I don't think u wud ask ur phone 'do I need an umbrella today?' Dats so gay..jst click on da weather icon and here u go..u get ol da info...don't jump on specs..don't jump on features..think of practicallity..people run after dual core fones..its good to b future proof but seriously how many apps in the android or the apple market need dual cores to run smoothly..mayb 7-10 percent..ask urself do u even need dose apps in ur daily lyf..boasting about browser benchmarks..wen did 50000+ score not become enuf..am sure mst of us have comp.s at home..who needs a browser benchmark as high as dat..we need usability...easy accessibility...itunes seriusly suck..no offense..but yea dey suck..so think practically and logically before jumpin on to judgements....am buyin a Sony Ericsson Neo V coz I think it luks gud..gud built..gud handling..perfect screen size and usability...
