Sharp enters smartphone OLED panels market

Production of OLED panels has already started back in June.

    Walter C. Dornez, 03 Aug 2018What's the difference between all those OLED types?I don't know about sharps OLED but I know JDI's which is Electro-Luminescent OLED which has a high contrast and thin structure and here is the link to read more about it

    And JOLED's OLED which the RGB sub pixel which is the origenal state I guess of the panel in order to show their true colours. Also here is the link to read more about it

    JOLED OLED is a very cheap OLED since they found a way not to waste the OLED material which right now Samsung and LG said we're going to do the same method not to waste OLED material
    Samsung uses diamond pentile matrix sub pixel arrangement and LG uses WOLED or WRGB White RGB sub pixels

      Nice job from Sharp entering the OLED panel market and soon JDI and JOLED will start.
      Sharp displays were good. Apple used their LCDs also.
      Always the Japanese tech is much better than the Korean tech.

          In JDI you have 3 companies who have joined forces Sony, Hitachi and Toshiba plus Sony is in JOLED with Panasonic and JDI will you some of the expertise of JOLED who will mass production right now. JDI had agreement with JOLED so JOLED are using JDI's old building to make it their factory to increase the OLED shipments. Besides, JDI has their own OLED which is EL OLED.

                    Interesing, sharp has a long history of lead in displays.
