AnonD-594740, 08 Aug 2018Nop Cortex A7... https://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/pr... moreThanks for the correction.
That means the ARM Cortex A35 will be a sensible upgrade to the Snapdragon Wear platform; a jump from v7 architecture to v8, higher performance at higher power efficiency https://developer.arm.com/products/processors/cortex-a/cortex-a35?_ga=2.62368616.532602140.1533718389-1622816900.1508504505

Though I would like to see them use ARM Cortex A55

September 10. Will it use 10nm fabrication?

I wonder why no smartwatch has been made with e-ink! I know it has slow refresh rate, but should be good for notifications and other small tasks, still far better battery life. Coupled with the new SoC we might see smartwatches lasting a week or so.

The current Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC is based on ARM Cortex A53 architecture.
ARM Cortex A35 provides better power efficiency but at lower performance.
ARM Cortex A55 provides better power efficiency and higher performance.

The right choice will be to base this new Snapdragon Wear platform on ARM Cortex A55.
