God this thread is going crazy hahahaha:-) but don't get your hopes for that sony would buy ericsson shares.. For my opinion I wouldnt buy their shares cause they are lossing in the track of selling on mobile phones thats why... How many proffessional people would buy sony ericsson phone..for business nonetheless if they want good camera there os sucks and there customer service also im disappointed I would change to nokia...
Bye bye sony ericsson

Trends are what kill some of the best cellphones out there, people would rather use an OS that is more user-friendly for their 16 yr old kids than to figure out how to use the features in trade for better hardware.

yce, 18 Oct 2011it's not going down...it's just their sales are doing accep... more...and that is also why...SE will become Sony...all that have shares with samsung nokia and apple(and others) it's about cips and motherboards that only belong to sony not to ericsson...sony is getting stronger by indirect sales and i realy enjoy to have sony phones not ericsson...

Seems like people dont care about the design even it looks classy. Maybe SE needs to improve the hardware then. And I buy SE again.

Its an open operating system (Thats the point of Android - in case you didn't know). So if they develop something cool they have to offer the code to the other Android manufacturers. (whether they decide to implement it is another question).
So, your point about MOTO is not only misplaced in this forum, and bashing SE. but totally invalid.
Android will only ever get stronger - SE have BY FAR they best creative design team. Their SW guys were just a little slow on the uptake. As android grow, sony ericsson will re-grow.
So actually I would say they have more potential than any other manufacturer. Sony Brand/Cash + SE Design + Android OS.

Maybe, just maybe instead of turning every story about SE into something negative, maybe someone could actually put a positive spin on this!
To lose 50m one quarter, and break even the next, given that they have launched virtually no new phones is an acheivement. So give them a break.
SE have great phones, FACT. They might not be the best on paper, but I just got an Arc S, and it does everything anyone would NEED a smartphone to do, + its got a wicked camera. And SE are showing signs they are starting to innovate again with the 3D stuff, and exmorR thanks to Sony.
So I would say to anyone doubting these guys, you are crazy.
Xperia WILL one day be regarded as the biggest smartphone brand. It will take time though.

dont worry frnds, the tsunami and the problems occured in England ,till sony manages the company without big loss. wait until the sony buy the full shares of ericsson. Then the company will come back .

I LOVE SE....!!!
My First Cell phone was SE K310i in 2004 , that was really a Nice phone wid superior sound quality only in Rs 5000 but the problem was that it has no expanable memory :-( so I switched to Nokia 3110c in 2006(Have same price)... which was really a bad decision .......
Phone's sound quality was rubbish ....
No minimize option available (which was available on my SE)
Battery problem wid restart
Freezes while updating Music library :-)
I was soo frustated that I used it only 6 months and got new SE Z550i .......
It is reallly aa nice phone......... I really love that phone bcoz it has no problem or bugs at all :-) (Now my secondary phone)
Now I own SE Arc , it is Damn Sexy And Quite reliable then my friends S2,which got broked only in falling from hand and display was gone.B-)
SE Rules......... Feel Quality :-)

OH! Finally here they are showing the wickess. Even with android OS SE can not make profit. Moto has losed 2% market share but still hsave the best mobile on Verizon the Droid Bionic 4G, not to mention the Droid 3, DroidX2, Photon 4G, Atrix 4G, Atrix 2, and the upcoming Droid Razor HD 4G. In fact in china , Moto is the best seller and overcome Nokia as Number 1. In the resyt of the world Moto is coming back slowly but surely with the Milestone 3, Defy+, and more. As Google will merge with Moto but Moto will work on his own with more money from Google , we will have same best Mobile phone around 2012 while Sony will absorb completly SE. Where is the best design of SE? Did you make enough money from it? No, bye bye SE ...

Sony ericsson is a bad bad experience to me on android phone bcoz it stay the same specs on its phone god that so so shameful for them I got xperia arc and its an high end phone but when u c the newer version on arc just adding some s shucks thats so damn concept..and theirs no new on it god that common version on android line..thats why people ignored xperia phones and no front cam sososo sluggish phone picture quality is best
