Because they mean half year cycle, can imagine new hw is better than old(like camera, processor,.. in note9) and that would as well mean they can take on new flagships arriving in an year cycle fashion.

    Huawei... That's why I don't like this brand...
    And just before that Samsung said they were better than Apple...
    I'll say it again, it shows that Huawei is a sub-par brand, because it needs to criticize others to succeed...
    And this is even worse, because "real upgrades" as they say is just putting more cameras and more MP on a phone according to them...

Sure, the P series had slightly "weaker" chipset comparing to the true top dogs of their same year. I do assume though that the 980 will defeat all this year's beasties, and very likely match next year as well.

                      Not taking anything away from the P20 Pro though. It has a great camera.

                          This is a legit taunt to not just Samsung but also apple,google, lg, htc and to some extent Sony.
                          The overall smartphone performance including camera hasn't improved since the Galaxy S7 for all the brands except Huawei.

                                    Hmm.. maybe they are mocking the iPhone instead?

                                      Mate 10 is pretty solid wonder "Real Upgrades" they will give us aside from triple camera and UD fingerprint and bigger battery (these things are minor)
