They build mid range specs phone at premium price, of course do not expect profit. Their design are great, but their hardware doesn't match the price. Instead you can get an SG2. As for WP7, I heard their was disagreement over Xbox Live, since it is their competition to playstation line products.

Dear SE, you need a High End Phone with good spec to beat others, Your phone' internal memory & RAM is far far from enough.

Cybershot Android phone with xenon flash & 4" screen with large battery please. Before touchscreens Sony Ericssons camera phones where fantastic & the arc is good but better with a xenon flash & 1080p video.
Sony also need to keep up with the rest so no more year old processor & just enough ram, 1.2 dual core & 1 gb memory & at least 8gb ram, MINIMUM specs.

And about moving to WP, the much I understand Sony Ericsson (being a fan and watching them closely for years) I think they will continue to study WP for a little while unless they are sure WP is mature enough to go with.
I am not entirely against WP at all, it is a good consumer-based OS, but knowing Sony Ericsson, they need two things at the moment: 1. Strong Market Name 2. Features that covers all sort of users.
WP have a good name but only among a very limited crowd, and well WP is not very much featured pack yet. So personally I hope they will pick the new MeeGo (Whatever the new name of it).
Why MeeGo? Because MeeGo gains really good respect, it moves the market, it shows what it can do with really limited (or out-dated specs) and it has power to please all type of users.

How come everything has to be smartphones ?
I have been a religeous user of their feature phones for years and I'va had several smartphones in between. But every time I've gone back to their feature phones since I don't like the pressure of being online all the time and handling the constant emails, facebook-updates and time spendt fideling with the phone. So it is a loose for me, since I enjoy the simplicity of the SE featurephones.
It's not all people who want a smartphone, some just want a stylish featurephone and are willing to pay for the simplicity.

I've been SE fan since I got my W800. Gosh it is a very good walkman phone and I still admire it. Come on Sony... You can make it ! Show us that you still can blow the world as you did with your Walkman and Cyber-shot phones...

Haha, Now that's my company. Who else could do that? 0 is powerful number and well it is better than having "-". They are up with it and they will gain. I agree with the friend down there about showing off the products. Sony Ericsson are always an artistic company and they work like an Artist. I hope they will keep the spirit of an Artist and hire a good Manager for them to boost in business.

This is where SE screwed up a few years ago by obsessing over these stupid Sony brands and flooding the market with far too many different models (like Samsung stupidly does).
Instead, SE should be striving to be releasing fewer models, but ALL these models having the absolute best of BOTH imaging and music capability.

Wait, People will buy SE if they put the ips display and show it off to the world that they have REDESIGN the display.. Well!
Walkman and Cybershot series shoul be back on the production line..
Rather than stuck onto the lame getting older andriod, venture out with meego os or others. Get the headphones line onto the SE like HTC did!
Show off some cool new features like apple and nokia.
Bravia engine is nice but LOL! We need a phone that works under sunlight due to tropical country have the most light everyday! Needy! Watch movie, seldom lol!

AnonD-13170, 14 Oct 2011just because they stoood on their sucking proprietery jack,... moreyes... too true... and the fact that they stuck to making/using M2 cards for so long ... while everyone had already moved on to MicroSD, now I have a really nice phone (C510) that can use a 8~16 Gb memory card, but the cards are either not available or are extremely expensive compared to MicroSD...
and they were stuck again with Android 1.6 while everyone had moved on to 2.1 and it was 2.0 & 2.1 that made android popular...
come on sony ericsson stop wasting time!
