      My question is
Will Mi A2 lite perform better with pure android or redmi note 5 AI perform better with MIUI and qualcomm 636?

LG Superfan, 15 Aug 2018But what if the two phones have different resolutions? You mean comparing displays that have 720, 1080, or 1440 pixels across? Not sure, but it seems they aren't 'equivalent' anymore as icon and text layout would look different.

AnonD-641645, 15 Aug 2018You got it. For example Gionee M6s plus 6" FHD 16:9, 367 p... moreBut what if the two phones have different resolutions?

LG Superfan, 15 Aug 2018If I want to convert 18:9 with FHD resolution and 6" screen... moreYou got it. For example
              Gionee M6s plus 6" FHD 16:9, 367 ppi
              Oppo F5 6" FHD+ 18:9, 402 ppi
The 18:9 display is slimmer because it packs the same 1080 pixels across but in higher density

LG Superfan, 14 Aug 2018Why multiply by 5.5?Because 5.5" FHD, 403 ppi is the typical reference.

Notice Mi 6 has 5.15" FHD at 428 ppi, very close to 432 ppi here.

                    AnonD-641645, 14 Aug 2018Yes, it's (403/432)*5.5 = 5.13. As the screen has higher pi... moreWhy multiply by 5.5?

What will be better phone to chose? Redmi 6 Pro, Note 5 AL, or this 6 Pro, but with stock Android. I really like MIUI, also, compact dimension of Redmi 6 Pro/A2 Lite, but SD 636 in Note 5 AL is better and newer processor. ;/

LG Superfan, 14 Aug 2018So 5.8 19:9 is equal to 5.1 16:9? Any way to easily calculate it?Yes, it's (403/432)*5.5 = 5.13. As the screen has higher pixel density text on web pages will appear smaller, as if on a 5.13" FHD.

This phone was one of the favorites to change my device but without fast charge technology is not good 👎.

LG Superfan, 14 Aug 2018What size is 5.8" 18:9 screen equal to in 16:9?Well, this one is 19:9. I find it helpful to compare pixel densities. It's 432 ppi FHD+ here vs 403 ppi in typical 5.5" FHD, so width-wise this screen is equivalent to about 5.13" FHD.

So long as you can live with the notch or use android app to hide it.
