Why we need a foldable phone? I don't get it. As a look at the pictures, when it's folded it would be way more uncomfortable to wear in the pocket.

I enjoy my Note 8!

This are some of Nokia innovation that could be ours if microsoft and the army of useless money grabers would have not turn off it's fire. i dont want to fold my phone
may be the future is more portable, but no way, not doing it now.
people who complain about what samsung has innovated since s8, dude, making improvements on perfection is hard.
Durability has to be kept in mind too, oppo has crap durability, the nex S is far better in durability. jerryrig tested
so well they had to save something for their 10th anniversary phone, what improvements/innovation would u want? more screen to body ratio and in screen finger print reader, what else?

This is more like a bendable phone not foldable. I'm more intriguing with the real foldable phone they teased 5 years ago.

This is really exciting. I don't think the wedge gap will be that big though; there were rumors that the reason it took sometime for Samsung to out a foldable phone is because they were looking for a material that can both be stretched and folded ever so smaller without forming creases overtime. Samsung may not have been the pioneer in this endeavor as they were not in bigger screens (the first smartphone with 5 inch screen was the Dell Streak), but it was Samsung who did push for bigger and bigger display with the Note series. This time with foldables it really will be a gamble for them as this is not just a matter of device size (relative to the size of the screen) but more of the entire form factor. This proposal is actually better than being completely foldable without a gap as that would really create those creases in the infolds in the long run.
The evolution to foldable/rollable screens and holographic displays are simply the future of smartphones and personal computing. No, not notches nor micro bezels.

The Note 9 is the most completely smartphone around. As an overall package, it is Second to None.
