Let’s hope that Netflix has better luck than Spotify did.

sr777, 22 Aug 2018It doesn't work like that on Android. App developers can us... moreYes, you can circumvent Google's payment system.... however the terms of the Play Store stipulates that In-App-Purchases are meant to be taxed 30% by Google.

This is to stop developers from selling their $9 Apps for free, and just making the users pay $9 via I-A-P and cutting out Google from the transaction. And any App caught doing that may/will be pulled, the developer may be suspended, and monies owing may even be court actioned.

This is exactly why you can download Battle Royale (Fortnite) and play it... but to make payments for the season passes they want you to do it from their website instead, and not the App. And its the same reason why SONY stole/hijacked people's Fortnite accounts so that they're In-App-Purchases would be subject to the PlayStation Network's own taxable system (and to stop cross-play too!!).

App developers can use their own billing method instead of going through Google's. But it is easier to use Google payments, so smaller developers go with Google payment.

        Good Luck Netflix

iTunes has to die, Bravo Netflix and Spotify! Now when I am forced to use my iPhone it will be easier and more bearable! Praying for the day iTunes will be just a music/movies store and you can direct-transfer files from PC to iOS!
