Morons who like paying $1000 for a phone will cont... morethere are people who value QUALITY over PRICE,(not the other way around). and you have no right to describe them as "MORONS". we just like to keep phone/s that wouldn't stress our mind with so many compromises especially when it comes to design & durability of the phone. we are already capable of buying those with high end chip-sets, the 2nd thing we consider after that is design & durability. we are not morons, only rational. besides, it's our money, we have the freedom to do/buy whatever with it. deal it with it.

Just putting a Snapdragon 8-series in a device doesn't make it a great performer. Thermal throttling due to overheating has been a SD 8-series issue since 810 depending on the device it's put in it could be minor or major effects.
This Pocophone will not have any issues due to thermal trhrottling as a result of is fairly well build including the liquid cooling system. Liquid cooling is nothing new, not in phones either, first one in 2013 (Japan only - of course), but far from all phones utlizes this.
One Plus 6 and Sony XZ2 in example does not have liquid cooling system, and guess what, they both throttle and can't sustain maximum performance particularly long. But hey, if you got that SD845 for social media only then no worries.

Btw, plastic build is MILES better that crappy glass build which are the trend nowadays.
it is the 2nd choice of materials for a smartphone after full-metal build.
And, if u look at the review of Poco F1 in here and youtube, and if u really are an objective person, u will know that Xiaomi's image processing algorithm has become better over the years of MIUI development. As for the sensor, u should know that Xiaomi always use Sony sensor for their flagship phone (except Mi Mix 1 where they use OV sensor)
Ugly Design? That's a VERY subjective opinion, as at US$300 price target, Xiaomi couldn't afford to spend much money on the phone design, and for me (at least), as long as it works fine (no overheat/throttling), I'll take even a "notched" phone which I hate.
once again, it's up to u if u want to buy a smartphone with lousy mid-range SoC and better camera with crappy image processing algorithm, but having a SD845-powered phone at one third price of Sony XZ2 is a steal.
That's one of the reason why ifruit SE was so damn popular back then, compared to the "6" siblings

I don't know how it is done in your country, but in Indonesia, at least the assembly is done locally so it opens quite a lot of job vacancies while at the same time reducing the tax or whatever payment they need to do so the final phone price is getting reduced as well. I don't think they're going to do the same in Europe as labor cost is certainly much higher than here, in India or in China.

It's cheap plastic build, lousy camera, ugly design doesn't make it value for money. I'd rather buy a phone with midrange chipset, better hardware, better camera anyday.

It has SD845 which is the best chipset on the market currently (excluding Apple of course) and the liquid cooling prevents any thermal throttling when running benchmarks.

It should depends on the purpose of the phone, e.g. Note 9 is a power user phone, or how resource hogging the platform is (Android needs at least 4GB to work well). So in 2019, we will need 10GB??? LOL!

What's the big deal about this phone? All because of the 845 processor? Ugly deep notch, as usual lousy cameras from Xiaomi which can't even take decent night shots, no sd card and in my country, only the 64GB model is available. And it is not cheap!
