The Indians pay far waaayyy more than other regions for Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC(Don't even mention Apple).
Does that make them fools too?
Apart from already expansive products, the only thing making them even more expensive is individual country customs and policies.
PS. Iphone X base model was about 1 lahk(rs 100,000) rupees. That was not even about customs, just Apple exploiting indians. The indians love the "Iphone User" status and Apple don't even pretent to love them back, they just milk it.

CherryPie., 27 Aug 2018SD636 is old. Sd710 is the soc to look for. SD636 is not old and outdated. That SoC belongs to the same midrange section as the SD625 and SD630 and SD636 is the latest of the cheap midrange section.
In relation to all of this, SD670 is the newest of the premium midrange section while SD660 is the outdated one.
SD710 is the newest of the premium midrange with AI section.

Pocophone will be the holly grail of teenager phone.
Rather than choosing samsung/sony/lg "midrange" (with old-slow cpu)
or 4-5 years old iPhone.
teenager can now have a beast in their hand

Not such a good deal at €330. The Indian pricing would've had it at about €240. That is a good deal

What happened to the 8/256 version ? Even for 450 it would be beyond cheap
I don't mind about the storage since there's SD Slot, but the 2GB of ram left behind could make some difference on the long term

4.4M IDR for a flagship. When other competitors here are offering midrangers at the same battlefield. Even though there are some compromises (especially for those who don't like plastic-build phone) but in the end it's the best you can get for that amount of money
