27 August 2018
The Spanish Poco site is offering a €30 coupon that brings the price down to €300. The French site is pricier, however.

Cost sgd 449 in my country for 64GB / 6GB RAM. This is due to 7% GST which makes the device overpriced.

So Mi 8 is not launched globally but Pocophone is launched everywhere. Looks like Xiaomi got scared of APple law suits if Mi 8 is launched across. Pocophone is still awesome device for the budget... but but it wont still be considered as flagship

Dank710, 27 Aug 2018Not really. The people who like and $upport Apple products ... moreBut yes it affect me i care for those poor people which are willing to spend 1000 bucks for a phone worth 250 when manufactured. I mean its nmanufacturing price and then those poor people barely surviving few months starving on the streets literrary and care for every penny because they spend too much on a single device made by Apple.

pl2rts, 27 Aug 2018Pakistan is in Middle-East and part of Asia It's like Ru... moreFirst of All Middle East is not a solid term to use now a days. Pakistan was a part of greater Middle East but so were many other countries.
Geographically Pakistan is in South Asia as it was part of India 70 years ago. And if India is in South Asia, so is the Pakistan.
And culturally Pakistan is also different than Middle Eastern countries. Their Dresses, Language, Foods and all other traditions are similar to India and Bangladesh and their population is not Arabic as well.
Economically, Pakistan could or could not be called in middle east. their economic relations are mostly with middle eastern countries and their people use to work there. but yet they do not part of oily rich countries but an agri-industrial country. This is the reason in business terms few companies include Pakistan in Middle East, this is what happened here but later rectified. but my question is that Isn't Middle east also in Asia? Is Middle East a separate continent? Why to call middle east separate when talking about continents?

dvdivx, 28 Aug 2018There is no defence for Xaiomi and Huawei for not having gl... moreWell, While carriers may not selling them ( for the most of the devices, they sell the low-end budget one), but some of huawei's phones are being sell by electronic store, and some are probably started to sell xiaomi's phones as well after last month.

But if you really wanted the phone, there's always online shopping. And most of those phones work fine with the us bands and their network. I got a mi A1 for my mom, there wasn't 4G for a short period of time and they fix it with a update.

And don't forget what the US government trying, banning Chinese phones being sell in the US. ( Openly banning HuaWei and ZTE).

China was considering to ban apple if the US government keep on pushing China and trying to piss off the China. ( But, money talk……… so……).

There is no defence for Xaiomi and Huawei for not having global level bands unless the want Apple and Samsung to have all the money. They are running businesses and they should try to make money. Same bands in the US work for Canada and Mexico both of which they could sell phones to. Not to mention Africa, South America and Europe.

no, 27 Aug 2018I think it is more expensive in most countries than in indi... moreWell being a Pakistani, Let me defend India and Xiaomi here (Yes, I know its weird). India is biggest market for Xiaomi apart from China. And 35% of the total world's population lives in only these two countries. And Xiaomi is most popular in these two countries so India and china will always be their preference, this is how business works. talking about availability in India, India is a price conscious market with so many companies trying to compete, so to keep the price low and avoiding import cost+duties, Xiaomi has its own manufacturing plant in India. So the prices in India will always remain low as compare to Europe or Africa or Latin America and availability is also an obvious thing.
