The dual camera is gimmicky since software works better than a 2MP secondary camera for depth sensing and bokeh.

                          So basically OPPO did some adjustments here and there, improved on the display and the battery, but decided to downgrade the chipset from a HELIO P60 to a SNAPDRAGON 450 to keep the cost down. Though the chipset is weaker now, at least OPPO managed to fill up some aspects that are missing on the OPPO RealMe. It sure is weird but decisive OPPO...

For comparison, the 3 year old Helio X10 has better CPU performance! Browsing , especially on content heavy websites will be much faster on an SOC with A72/A73 cores.

                            GPU performance should be ok given the resolution drop though as you say...

                              HD screen, SD 450, god know what else has been cut inside. This is not just going backwards but taking tremendous steps backwards. HD screen? Really. These are now 2 different categories and customer types and of no interest to the people who bought the Realme 1.

I... moreIt will do the job on a day to day basis and will probably have great battery life, but performance in things like browsing, encoding videos/music, files archiving, ultra high res media playback, photo editing and camera image processing speed will be slower due to the absence of A73 cores, weak gpu and single channel RAM.

                                They should have named it Realme 1s or 1X or something like that. Users expect an upgrade or at least a sidegrade when they see realme2. Apart from notch and FP scanner, their are virtually no improvements in this.

                                  It's pretty good (probably one of the best) for it's price. Though it is pretty debatable as to whether it is a better phone than the Realme 1.

                                  If you are looking for a superb battery life, a fingerprint sensor and dual camera just for bragging rights, go with the Realme 2.

                                  If you want a notchless, sharper display and a more powerful chipset, but can forego the above, go for the Realme 1.

                                        The cost matters, SD450 costs less and also is good SoC with 14nm architecture.
