I dont think in anyway gsm arena are biased. Is it there fault nokia are producing rubbish phones with out dated software? No it isnt so vet off your high horse and start realising nokia has had its day.It missed out by sticking to an outdated operating system and trying to move to an even worse operating system. We all know the only way to go was android FACT!Apple got it right and so have htc and samsung as sales say everything so explain to me why nokia is in decline?

Funny how GSM Arena didn't run a story about the Galaxy Nexus having a Pentile screen and a true PPI of around 200.

Mhz don't matter, 21 Oct 2011Any nokia with 1Ghz will be faster than any Android with 500Mhz.I Agree...
Symbian is lowest resource requiring OS. Nokia N8 and C7 perform well with just a 680Mhz processor and 256mb ram...
SGSII requires 1gb ram because it uses 500mb in idle itself...

And I have one comment on my own...

Try to write a list of things that you really need and the ones you don't for ex I don't really use front cam and it makes phone cheaper... I don't really see point of dual-core hardware when software is not yet ready and so on...

And I'm no fanboy of anything, and I'm not in buying WP7 phones even if it's Nokia... iOS for me is fine (lots of pros n cons) but iPhone is jut overpriced... Android is really great in some things but battery & resaurce hungry and fragmented, Meego is also ok but Elop don't want to see it becoming popular so it's overpriced...

More battery power with a more efficient OS, or bigger screens with a fast web experience and processors that aren't used to their full potential.

My N8 is great for just about everything but the web. Which is important. WP Mango is awesome, but I'm starting to think that the SGS 2 is the device to have as far as future proofing is involved. Sadly, I doubt even it will recieve an update as important as belle in a years time.

Haters gonna hate, eh? Symbian is the most resource efficient OS, you can play music for days while others struggle to match it, it does HD games with an ancient 680 MHz, it doesn't have 360x640 limitation because the E6 hits 480x640.

I love Android, but it merely lasts half a day thanks to hiding most apps instead killing it. I want Bada but you should have an expensive, top tier Wave to play HD games. BBX seems good but RIM devices will most likely overpriced.

do u expect a dual core, super amoled HD, 12mpx phone for 200 euros?
and even if u are speaking in general, Ive tried most of the nokia phones, my N8 is fast enough with barely any battery drainage, I had an N900 and it was also an amazing phone, but I do have one exception which is the nokia n97 and n97 mini, they have good build quality but lack in hardware. either way nokia is the phone to turn to ;)

AnonD-20247, 21 Oct 2011Symbian is father of all os . Dont say it crap.360 x 640 resolution and ARM11 is pure crap, and if Symbian cannot use better then its crap also. Symbian had its place once, but hardware has come a long way since the N95-2 and N82 were the greatest. Symbian cannot evolve when it has so big limitations.

As tothe other comment here about Arm11 being good processors, thats just fanboy wishful thinking. Arm11 is slow and inefficient. N9 battery tests has shown that Cortex A8 is very capable of saving power. Standby is excellent on all A8 fones i have tried except N900, and N8 with its superslow Arm11 is not battery friendly during heavy webbrowsing. It doesnt save battery but it does hinder performance, the N8 webbrowser benchmarks proved this beyond doubt, many times slower.

"Symbian dont need fast processors" is a myth that has been busted over and over again, theres no magic trick here, instructions HAS to be executed by the processor for work to be done, regardless of OS.
