lol a phone on contract is never free you end up paying for it somehow...i would understand getting a top end phone on contract but to sign up on 2 YEAR contract with the 3gs NOW is just plain stupid, you would be better off buying it on pay as you go.lol cant believe some people would sign up to a 2 year contract on a phone that is older than 2 years.

You should say what phones are available for the same price, for us having an idea about with which phones this Iphone compete.

JAJAJA now... Samsung go and try to sell your "smarter than a smartphone" s8000 JET or your OMNIA i8000. Try if more than 500 clients around the world wants them.

Overall, the phone is nice, but the screen is state of the art junk. It was horrible when it launched, now it's even more disgusting. Everything is blue and pixelated. I would't take it even you gave me money.

If it's $0, then it's FREE. In other words, it's not sold. So it shouldn't be counted as part of the Sales. Don't believe everything that you read.

This is partly possible due to Apple's OS strategy and support for its devices. iPhone 3GS from 2009 is running iOS 5 just like iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

It's still a very good little phone, but its camera lets it down, and the antenna is weak.

I'm not surprised that it is shifting a lot of units though. iOS 5 works like a dream on it.

i still use my iphone 3GS over 1.5 year and i love it especially with the new ios 5 and i still have no reason to upgrade to either iphone 4 or 4s... but i think i will upgrade to iphone 5.

I got the Galaxy Ace free on contract, which is closer to the iphone 4 than the 3GS when it comes to specs. If anything, it's just evidence of the power brand recognition has...Either that or evidence on how much of a specs-obsessed geek I am.
