Aslipundit, 30 Aug 2018Sony copying Samsung's 'Infinity display', lol. Most useles... moreExactly, it's a clone of Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9. It's like Sony took the front of S9 and the back of XZ2 and glued them together. All we wanted was Sony to give us XZ Premium with thin bezels. What a fail.

The camera now has a brighter aperture at F1.8 , borrow from their super-flagship , XZ2 Premium without its 12 MP B/W Camera Lens-Sensor this time . And the 19MP IMX400 Motion Eye got another update again by its feature and improved image processing algorithms over XZ2 .

Sony fans before Xperia had OLED: LCD da best it stands through time and universe, oled burns in, omg its crapoled, oled has bad colour reproduction.

i don't like oled because they give me eye strain and headaches. i go with sony and xiaomi often because they are one of the few who make flagship phones that have ips displays.

Sony copying Samsung's 'Infinity display', lol. Most useless feature ever. And this is coming from an S9 owner.
Like the way it looks in the pictures, not sure in real life. Display will be very good and so will be performance. Pricing will determine if this is a good deal or a bad deal.

clavian123, 30 Aug 2018No new 48mp camera sensor, so sad...Don't worry, that new 48 MP sensor is coming at CES or MWC next year I am sure about this. The reason they did not put it in the XZ3 is that they need some more time to implement it. They are not rushing, they are testing that sensor, and add some great specs to it.

The cutting edge technology never trickles down to phones that quickly. It would make the phones ridiculously far more expensive, and no one will buy them.

This should have been announced in MWC. Sony, you're late as usual.
IFA needs some innovations, at-least some H/W gimmicks to attract more customers.
But....? It's the same cake in slightly different package and a hefty price tag in Poco F1 era.

Other than a slightly bigger OLED screen, it's more or less the same specs as the XZ2.
And it's more expensive.
I'm sorry, the XZ3 is dead on arrival.

The display is impressive. But everything else, including sony's identity, has now officially left the building.
