Subscribe to Netflix, then pirate. They still get the cash and you get the liberty. Plus, they don't have to pay for server load! Everyone wins!

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018Correction, WEBRips are not screengrabs rather than downsca... moreMy WEB-DLs are always the highest quality. Not BD quality but very close. Always 1080p and crystal clear.
But point is: DRM's stupid, unfair and frankly ineffective

AnonD-641645, 30 Aug 2018But why would you want to watch HD on s 6" screen? It's the same effect as sitting 15 feet from a 70inch TV. Why would you want to watch shows on a large TV while sitting 15 feet away?

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018It's not netflix that screw you, it's people that distribut... moreIt's not about the price, rather the availability.
These streaming services aren't available in third world countries (exclusive to US).
For you information, the world doesn't end at US borders.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018It's not netflix that screw you, it's people that distribut... moreYes i feel screwed cause i need to buy specific device to see content in quality. If i pay for something i expect to see the content without needing to have special device for it. Thanks to these DRM i am forced to pirate same as region blocking for content.
Basically if something is DRM and you need special device for it with special features that shows me that they dont want my money

What good has DRM ever done to people who have paid for product ? For videos Look these DRM commercials they are in the video you cant skip it or something. For games always online that will pop you out of the game when you have 1ms lag on your connection. And have other issues with the game. I pirated game Assassins creed and had no problems with it so i bought it and had loads of problems with it.
Now if i need to pay for Netflix and so on sites to see videos then i expect i am not limited with devices with DRM issues. And well tbh i would not even watch streaming sites videos with even 720p on my 6 inch 18:9 screen that will have so little box where you cant pretty much see anything good. I would not watch 720p or 1080p or even 4K cause it takes internet data a lot and i dont have it unlimited on my contract. I have only 15GB for month while at home i have unlimited data so i will download and upload them on my phone when i go a trip to somewhere where either it's long bus drive or plane flight.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018It's not netflix that screw you, it's people that distribut... moreLets put it this way. I pay Netflix for their Ultra HD streaming service. My phone is more than capable of streaming in 1080 res. However because of DRM Netflix is refusing to let me watch HD content and is limiting me to 540p.
I am sorry but I blame Netflix here. I used to watch pirated content earlier but Netflix offered so much value for money i was happy to put those days behind and use their service. However they have some real shitty DRM related issues. Like I can watch max 720p on Chrome ? I tried Edge and it went to 540p ?
This DRM issues will encourage people to watch pirated content again

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018It's not netflix that screw you, it's people that distribut... moreThat really depends on the person, moment, and situation that you're in, etc etc. If I am not wrong, that function not only won't let you record the show with third party app while you're watching ( which I don't know how many people would do that on their phone/ or on a phone?!?! I could completely understand it if it is PC.) But it is also won't even let you take any SCREENSHOT if it's purpose is to prevent/block user to get the contents and share it online. That seems a bit too over!
And now it won't even let users watch/stream video in HD? Is that really a phone ( or users ) faults?

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018No, most phones don't support it. Only Samsung and Sony fla... moreWrong.
Phones from the likes of OP and Huawei have it.
Widevine has no licence fees. The only 'valid' excuse is implementation and testing time being an expense.

Its not the phone as much as the service provider. You can safely watch HD movies from content providers that don't have shiity drm. Drm makes me want to get back to pirated videos from my college days. Now you pay money and still get screwed by companies like neflix

Don't care about streaming content. As long as playback is HD/4K, WGAF?
