Lol, which 3.5mm that is IR sensor on top. And so ugly from behind; P20 pro camera placement is much better for eyes.

As long as the display is 16:9 compatible, and it isn't a pure video display, I don't see any issue with new formats.
Modern displays have rounded corners, so if they were 16:9, a video could not be viewed in full. Many also have notches.
However, the display size figure becomes quite irrelevant when there is nothing to compare it to as every company have their own aspect ration.
Square area of actual display, would be a much better figure.
It would also be nice if the display coverage rate was based on the footprint of the device, rather than what the maker defines as the front (that way makers can exclude the frame, especially if it is curved, making it so that those numbers don't matches what one sees looking at the device).

Imo P20 Pro has better camera design and I hope the screen size is atleast 6.7 or make the ratio not longer than 19:9 (6.7 19:9=6 16:9)

I like how huawei is experimenting new designs to the Mate series but this design in my opinion doesnt look like premium enough to be a Mate phone.

I like the innovative camera placement. But more importantly, it's awesome that this has the 3.5 mm jack, which already makes it much better than the P20 Pro.
