App Store seems to get some games earlier aswell like fortnite,grid autosport,asphalt 9,hello neighbor
Also also it doesn’t seem much of a difference in benchmarks. Only 3-4fps difference.
Overall both of them are great at gaming so...?

AnonD-731363, 04 Sep 2018I just dont think so. You don't have to think, you have to experience. At the minimum, look at what others have done for you. I've got a friend owning the device, so I have first hand experience. Throttling the device is damn easy by repetitively executing AnTuTu, the effect can already be felt on 2nd run. However, it also depends on ambient temperature. The hotter, the worse.

Not even inclusion of a headphone jack, larger batteries, far more RAM, innovation, Qualcomm modems instead of those awfully slow Intel modems, customization, wide variety of choices and prices, etc.

BECAUSE I AM, frustrated. Of course this is freaking useless, no one need some that much performance, but performance is rarely something you need, but more something you want.
You don't need 700hp in your car, but still it would be pretty amazing, right ?
Actually, you saw that Huawei use to be one gen late at SOCs ? Current 970 can only match 835 performance. Of course the 980 will change the game, now Huawei is a weeks ahead of Quallcom but nearly a year behind Apple.
I don't know, maybe A12 will sucks, but I doubt it. Especially when Apple got some in-house GPU on board.
Judging by the past, MALI GPUs always used to be at least 20% behind Adreno's solutions.
So yeah, Huawei used to be 1 year late over Qualcom, it's not the case anymore, but Qualcom still 1 year late over Apple.

Kirin 980 is the best android chipset, followed by Exynos on android side.

AnonD-731363, 04 Sep 2018A12 will be twice as fast as A11 Qualcomm again failed. Apple's CPUs are physically larger than Qualcom/Samsung so its no mystery as to why. Mobile CPUS really dont need these ridiculous scores anyway. Also, if anything the only thing that matters is battery life and maybe 3D scores if gaming is your thing.

Sure exynos got that this year and apple had it last year
But guess what. Those chips throttle heavily and fast for it.
Where as these last couple years Qualcomm has taken great strides for efficiency and longevity.

These results are terrible. Qualcomm, are you sleeping? Even Samsung's flagship Exynos are held back in order to ensure parity with the year's equivalent Qualcomm chipsets.
For the last few years, it seemed the gap was closing, then the A11 burst into the scene. Please improve the SD855 rapidly, or else Apple A12 will simply obliterate the field.
