Sony Xperia XZ3 has 6GB of RAM in Taiwan

If you buy one anywhere else, you're only getting 4GB.

          I would rather Sony bump up the storage to 128Gb or put in a bigger battery for the special 'limited edition' XZ3.

          An additional 2Gb RAM isn't going to do much for most users, unless you're one of those freaks who play the latest games on your phone on maximum settings (which causes the phone to overheat, but that's another topic). Neither is it going to sway prospective buyers who are looking at a new phone around that price point and aren't loyal to any particular brand.

          The decisions Sony Mobile makes is baffling at times. We've seen the renaming of the Walkman app, the termination of the TrackID app, the removal of the headphone jack since XZ2, fingerprint reader placement, 6-month release cycles, no-show in certain countries etc.

          If Sony treated its smartphone business as seriously as it had done for its Playstation and camera divisions, it would not be losing money quarter after quarter.

                Sony vs Samsung or 4GB vs 6 GB?
                Either way, there's not much of a difference in both cases.
                Samsung has more "features" that I personally don't use (most of them), which means it's packed with bloatware that can't be disabled, uninstalled or hidden.
                I dunno how much longer I can go without root on the S8+ :))
                Keep getting back to my rooted XZP for different reasons like finding and deleting duplicates with fdupes in Termux.
                Once you go root, going back to using a SMARTphone in GUEST mode SUX!

                  Thus why.
                  More better.
                  Some games needs more than 4 to work fluently.

                    So why add more when you dont need it to bump up the price.. its like people saying it should have 128gb memory.. when i could buy a sd card if i needed more space.. so i save the money from the extra memory i might not even use.. like most people.. i doubt most user take up 64gb of memory.. most people watch content on there phone not download same for music.. so the biggest files are videos or pictures.. and unless your taking lot well.. atleast you can expand it unlike apple or google.. i fail to see your point i feel like you just go round making comments.. with no knowledge... i mean how many times do you find yourself seeing not enough ram been complained about in phones.. apart from people who think a spec sheet means all..

                      Sony is joke.
                      Even a Pocophone is a lot better with its price and specs.

                              Huawei have already announced the Kirin 980 which appears to be the 1st iteration that offers 5G speeds

                              Qualcomm next SoC will like the Kirin 980 be manufactured on 7mm and be 5G

                              My guess is that the XZ4 will be 5G so holding back 2Gb of RAM, so that if say released now the 5G version would be a handset with the same specs.

                              6Gb and 5Gb clearly differentiates the phones as if correct it will NOT have the Snapdragon 845 but the very latest Snapdragon 8XX

                                  I'm using the S8+ 4GB RAM and my friend is using the S9+ 6GB RAM.
                                  Trust me when I say, there's NO visible difference when you put them side by side even though one has extra 2GB RAM.
                                  Also, Sony is incredibly well known for its very good software optimization, it has the lowest FC(force close errors) rate out there, the most vanilla Android and the BEST update service right after Google.
                                  Like it or not, Sony really nailed it this time with the XZ3. A true flagship!

                                      This has ddr4/ ufs2.1

                                        Obviously a flagship and of these caliber, MUST include 6GB as minimum and perhaps 8GB (or at least 8GB as option).
