I use galaxy note 8, and whike samsung hasnt adopted the notch thank god, almost every other brand has or is, huawei are getting huge sales currently, overtaking apple and samsung in some markets and they have notches

Google is the only one there, but I never cared for them because they don't have the SD card slot, which makes me say NO Thanks! Not interested!
And the rest are "china" brands, which for a "smaller" price, you let them SPY THE HELL out of you.
Also Huawei doesn't even let you root their phones anymore, because they are afraid you'll delete their spying apps.
Samsung, Sony, HTC didn't adopt the NOtch.
I wouldn't use a replica brand even if they payed me daily!

But in general I call it stupidity at its best. Its not pocketable or convenient at all. Your hand get tired faster. No different than trying to use tablet as daily driver.

Well, I'm both excited and disappointed.
This will be the first time in ages that Samsung does add innovation to their phones.
BUT this so called Galaxy F will cost nearly 2000 bucks, around 1800$ to be precise.
SO, even you have 1250$ to spend on some Note9, you still have to add another 500$ to get some proper innovation.
This isn't fair from sammy, 1000$ phones should be innovative in the first place.

Hopefully will comes quality first even with early date, just being first without having quality product is not so great. There is no need to be brave for release of pricy and limited in quantity product. Still, there will be competing just top brands, capable ones.

Hope someone doesn't keep these mobiles on a couch, it can practically fold like paper with excessive force! I don't see any case of tempered glass for protection. If this is going to cost $1000 or $2000, I can't imagine the pain someone undergoes for screen damages or structural damages after paying so much! I am sure Samsung has solutions for these scenarios as well.

"a promise was made that it won't be a gimmick but a real finished product" - it better be for ~2000€. And, though I early adopt many things (eink smartwatch: pebble, bezelless display: mi mix 1, dual cam: honor 8, eink smartphone: yota 2 (1 was really not worth it)) I don't care for gimmicks as in the note edge, galaxy round, notched displays as in essential ph1. What good is invention if it's not making anything better? As for folable Phones I'd like a phone that can be used as 4" folded and 8" unfolded. Why? No need to wear a tablet and a phone seperately -> that would be worth more than 1000€.

it can fold 50 times into a tiny cube, but if it has no headphone jack I'm not buying.

Some people think just because they have a phone and visit this forum they are tech expert billionaires, when the fact is most of the users are walking around with a $300 phone with 0 business knowledge and common sense and all they can do is mouth off people who can/willing to spend more.
ITT: There is nothing wrong with owning and using a cheap phone, but you are not superior just because you spent less on yours.
Stop trying to make people feel bad that they can and will afford a Note9 or this foldable Samsung.

I am always exciting with some new development, I think who knows where we end... it is called development. And then it is with copy paste hmmm... we do not have to invent the wheel every time something new has to be invented, but instead we can further develop it, this is also called development. By the way, the display will be something we can lose, bend and throw with, without breaking in thousand pieces ... this is called development.
When we all get a new knowledge, it's development. Development, development and development, thats makes the world go around (y)
