The Pro variant will have curved edges on the front panel, the regular Mate 20 will stay flat.

    Well I assume this is the "regular' Mate 20 while the Pro variant will get the the under-display scanner and was the unit spotted at IFA.

          The notch is justifiable because look at the panels, their chin is so thin that it can be considered as a Gen.1 All-Screen design just like the iPhone X. Finally, a notchphone that I can get behind.

          And I'm super glad the headphone jack is back! This goes to show that more features = more sales numbers. Which is why the iPhone 6 and 6S are still the most sold phone ever and the iPhones that succeed it can't beat their numbers.

            Omg i feel really sad to see the pro version will have curved edges.

              Så Huawei Mate 20 is going to be aesthetically much better than Huawei Mate 20 Pro,
              stupid decision seriously.
              I mean Huawei P20 Pro is a great phone but designwise is just plain average.
              I was hoping for an all screen design like Vivo Nex or Oppo Find X..
              It seems that we have to wait for Magic 2 but in that case no Super Amazing cameras like the ones Huawei top series use.

                Yes! The 3.5 mm audio jack, will make a return to the Pro series, since it was ditched in the Mate 10 Pro.

                Probably the best and smartest decision made by Huawei! Way to go! Now other companies which made similar blunders should amend them.

                  Curved front, yuck. So annoying and pointless. Will it come with a mega notch like Mate 20 Lite as well, whilst first going down the wrong path?

                    So the Mate 20 will have a front FP sensor and the Pro will have it on the back?

                    I think it's more likely that the Pro will have two FP sensors. One under display and the other on back. I guess we'll know for sure when it's officially revealed.

                    It's definitely great to see the headphone jack make a comeback in any case. ;)
