Jossy, 03 Nov 2011Nokia produces phone for all class of people rich, average,... moreNo. I actually, with all respect, do not agree with you.
iPhone is not meant for "rich" people only.
And the fact that Apple is not only mobile manufacturer explains why their mobile products are released in large periodic interval.
Still, I can say my Nokia n97 is not up to my expectations.
I am not going to hit in another Nokia phone.
Samsung or iPhone would be my next.

For iPhone users: Apple releases one phone in an year, while Nokia makes many... Thats why u may see their iPhone more popular in charts... but the truth is that iPhone is just an insanely overpriced phone.. even HTC can wipe them off with their phones....

However I dont know the reason of leaving MeeGo for WinMo.. WinMo is already a failed OS (not successful at-least), MeeGo could have attracted more buyers esp after the success of Linux-based Android OS... Even Android would have been a better choice...

Nokia produces phone for all class of people rich, average, poor but apple is just mainly for the rich and average so this is what makes nokia better than any other phone producers. And an outstanding display for nokia very thorough. Nice phone

there are a hips of phones like these from other manufactures(Nokia, samsung, moto, lg, ericsson and etc...) before Iphone.

so yes, iphone isn't the first one. It just comes out right time and proper features with cultivated fanboys' support.

Well said. But one has to admit that this copycat for a company has made good job in making people believe, that they need their overprized products.

Nokia Lumia looks great, but at this price point it is better to get an SG2 or a Samsung Windows Phone, which is at €199. I'm not Android or WP Fanboy or whatsoever, just facing the truth and see what's real. Mango is good, but not the best. SG2 will soon get ICS update which is far more ahead of mango. Perhaps Apollo or WP8 would justify a €400+ price point. Maybe, future Nokia WP may surprised us and it will also need a front facing camera.

People what to you expect after 8 months. lets look at it this way you have the iphone 4 and then the 4S with some minor tweeks that was a 1 year and a half it was said that Steve Jobs was working on the iphone 5 which by time it makes it to the general public will be over 2 years. it takes alot of time to make a phone 8 months is nothing as Elop stated it is Lumia 800 is the first not the last.

M$ should come out with a better W8 phone....with Adobe Flash and SD memory slot. Now they are just imitating apple iPhone, no Flash, no SD memory, no removable battery... While iphone went on and sell 50 millions, M$ look like the poorer cousin and went on to make a loss. Hahaha... never a big fan of M$. Maybe if Bill Gate took over again i might consider to buy their phone as he is better at PR now.

nokia targets hyped marketing strategy for their device like iphone4s or sg2..they(nokia) were good at affordable pricing until 2010 but now they are forced to do so..just look at the difference between lumia 701 and 800,almost same..whereas iphone4s or sg2 has made atleast good specs even it was overpriced..thats why 800(unworthy product ) gonna be an epic fail..the truth

And the 8 months that it took since Elop "burned the Symbian (and MeeGo) platform" till this product was available, cost more than 50% of the shareholderes value. Mostly due to the Osborne-factor.

I really hope that this phone is a succes - but more than anything I hope that Nokia fires Elop, and become their own company again. Being a Microsoft franchice is NOT the best thing that could happen for Nokia, and therefore the world.
We all need Nokia to innovate for the industry.
