"It also looks like OnePlus is messing up its update pattern. Usually, the "T" models stand for minor upgrade but we all saw the incremental update from OnePlus 5T to OnePlus 6 so this is probably the new way of OnePlus"
No, they are not ,messing up anything, they just ride the wave and follow every single trend like a sheep (or a Lemming, for those who remember).
Never could I imagine when I bought OPO that this brand would be such a slave to each and every trend.

If you are on T-Mobile (USA) like me, this OnePlus 6T priced at only $550 could be the one to get this October. Less uglier than the Pixel 3 XL and $400+ cheaper. If it comes unlocked, carrier bloat-free, and available red, this could outsell the Pixel 3 XL easily.
First OnePlus that you can get from an American carrier. A calculation of $22.92 per month for the next two years. If you wait a little longer, it could even be half that price if you keep checking on Slick Deals. The key is waiting for a great deal to arrive months after release. Then it drops for hundreds of dollars.
Totally worth it if T-Mobile offers it 50% off with those rebate cards. This device could be an even better deal than the Essential Phone for $224. Usually wait until Feb-March 2019. Worth it for $275 if T-Mo gets generous with a limited time offer deal.

What an unintelligible piece of writing.

The notch is dying faster than i expected. Good! Waterdrop notch is far better implementation than full-sized notch. For now at least!
Under-Screen fingerprint scanner will seem slow to classic fingerprint reader... i guess sometimes you gotta sacrifice speed to get the WOW factor...

Well, a water-drop notch is more digestible than an Apple-esque notch.

I'm good with standard 1+6 notch. About in-screen finger print, I believe its still a work in progress, so might not be the best option for this year.
