Canon unveils first mirrorless full-frame EOS R

Canon is committing to its mirrorless system with new lens mount, lenses and adapters.

This camera will be the best offering for blogger, simply because the flip screen.
But a bummer though since the 4K has a huge crop factor(around 1.7x if I'm not mistaken)
But for still, i guess many will be tempted because well, Canon colour science is hard to beat

      Mike, 05 Sep 2018...so the display on top shrunk to a square instead of the ... moreI don't know about the EOS R, but on the Nikon Z6 and Z7 with a similar top-display, you can modify what information you want displayed there.

      So you can most likely make it less cluttered. The press shots probably just shows you all the information at once to make it look better or more 'advanced'. Advertisement and press shots never do a good job of reflecting how people actually use the product.

It's phone cameras that are boring and inutule in low light and bokeh/artistic effects which look fake (phone cameras) no matter how expensive they are (more expensive than an entry level dSLR with cheap 50mm f/1.8 lens and a kit lens) and no matter how much phone manufacturers claim 'PRO' camera quality exaggerating to the max the phone's photo and video capabilities in low light even if it's outright garbage from ISO 800 and up.

          There will be adapters available for the EF lenses.

                      Hey Canon! You come up with an overpriced mirrorless full frame interchangeable lens camera waaaay too late, and worse, no 4K 60fps. For that price, we deserve no less than 4K 60p! Sorry, but I'm not upgrading until you come up with 4K 60fps.

                                Finally all the big players have joined the mirrorless market race! Unfortunately Canon missed out on some specifications, just like Nikon did. For example 4K/60fps and 1080p/120fps video, a big battery or dual card slots. They still beat out Nikon, but Sony retains the top spot.

                                Canon's strength seems to be their lens lineup. We'll have to see in reviews if the autofocus and image quality is up to par.
