The updates are not over! The devices will continue to have updates until September 2019, as quarterly security updates. That's what the S6/S6 Edge have. Quarterly security updates for an additional year. Good job!

AnonD-632062, 05 Sep 2018So that's three years of updates. Promises made. Promises k... moreA flagship phone costs as much as an ultrabook laptop. Imagine if Microsoft would do the same? Android has to change, both with these lack of updates solely designed to force people to buy new after two years but also the broken, delayed update model. If Google won't take responsibility because they're too greedy to avoid owning the licensing responsibilities for non-Android patents I don't see a problem with the big manufacturers just forking Android away from Google. Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC could easily start a fork with no Google control (lack of control).

[deleted post]This is what you get from buying Android. All new Android One devices are also limited to only 3 years of updates.

Considering these devices do not have a microsd slot, so they won't be missed that much compared to Note 4 / Note Edge.

Xiaomi gives its MUI to its even 6-8 years old devices and keeps them up to the date.
But thats Xiaomi a real phone maker.
                  Samsung is scam for fun.
