Rolling out a snapdragon processor at the end of 2011 as a flagship phone? What a joke. Nokia is about to pull a blockbuster.

This is the fist 2 phones from Nokia they have only had 8 months which sounds plenty to us but really isn't if key the factor of design software testing and programming shiping securing sales and the rest plus they seemed to have changed the way that Nokia acts globally. I believe Elop said there would be about 12 handsets out through late 2011-2012 so there are 10 to go.

Elop is taking Nokia through a tremendous gamble. And the odds isn't too good--it may reap partial rewards (only regain some ground vs Android and iOS, but it can be a total failure). Why??? All Windows versions on smartphone have failed numerous times. Elop's just being stubborn vs Android (and iOS is just not for sale). Nokia's reliable hardware with Android's real-world-tested software should have saved Nokia long ago.

These are great phones that should help Nokia regain some ground. It might shock some of the people on this site, but most people don't buy phones based solely on their specs. Design and ease of use also play a big part. They can choose another black, character-less, slab of Android or a phone that actually has some oomph.

I never have the opportunity to explore windows phones, I am particularly eager to know if windows phones have an application that can block unwanted text messages or block unwanted phone call? Can you please provide me with a link where I can download that application? Thanks in advance.

I really hope that WP7 will succeed. Competition is good, but as far the things are now, it will always have the 3rd place. Next year, android will have at least 50% marketshare, Apple 25% + and I still don't see WP7 grab at least 15%.
It has too many cons to take down iOS unfortunately.

Even the fanboyz won't admit it, android is where the hardware innovation take place (here is the real competition). If android didn't exist, we would have only 2 SoCs, one for iphone and another for WP7, and the manufacturers won't have any real reason to R&D

So... after all this time, announce 2 WP7 phones that are almost identical.

Pretty underwhelming if you ask me.

Maybe this time next year they'll have a reasonable portfolio of WP7 phones... this just feels like a weak start.
