svtrader, 06 Sep 2018$999 and no S-pen.S-pen is a very niche product. The majority of the market happily abandoned pen input back on Windows Mobile.

Serge327, 07 Sep 2018what about Apple fans hating Android phones then? How many Android stories can you cite that have immediately been inundated with troll posts?

      Best iPhone designs -
      5s / SE (space gray)
      7 (matte black)
      2G
      4 / 4s (black)
      Xc (red)

      Worst
      5c (any color)
      6 series
      3G / 3Gs

The red 10c look better than both current colors of the X. Doesn't have a hideous camera hump either. Might change as I haven't seen the gold 10s yet.

The matte 7 is underrated. Perfect size and last to offer metal back. What sucked was its fake home button, high SAR, and starting a trend to remove headphone jack. Moto did it first. Apple popularized it. You can hate or thank the 7 / 7 Plus for it.

I wasn't a fan of the slate 5. Easy to scuff. I'm not really a fan of any of the new designs. Apple peaked with the 5-series. They hit it out of the park in 2007, 2010, and 2012. Keep telling yourselves the X is beautiful. Doesn't even rank in the Top 5 for me.

Gold Xs and red Xc are the only interesting ones from the colors I've seen but I'll probably get neither since I can't stand iOS and hate glass backs. It just doesn't feel right compared to metal. Even if it cost $600, I'd still be reluctant unless I planned to scalp it on eBay.

Stop supporting Apple if they continue to price gouge us unless you enjoy getting ripped off every single year. These prices are a joke and only get hyped up by YouTube tech hipsters who have no girlfriends, real friends, and have nothing better to do but talk about gadgets with incremental changes.

"In the US, this means the cheapest 2018 iPhone will set you back $699, the iPhone Xs should go for $799, while the iPhone Xs Max is going to be priced at $999."

^ Knowing these Apple pigs, that statement could end up so WRONG.

        iPhone Xc - $849
        iPhone Xs - $999
        iPhone Xs Plus - $1,099

I'll be watching the Watch while everyone will complain in two days how expensive the new iPhones are and how lame the names are with memes.

I hope Google gets the design right by Pixel 4 and goes back to metal backs.

Thank you very much for your answer. Now I know what to do if I ever find myself in this situation again. And my only fault is probably that I was not persistent enough. I will be smarter next time.

If only I found this site sooner...

Theres no phone more expensive to own than oneplus, even at low price theyre extremely hard to sell. IPhones has the lowest value loss, best economy and best warranty and service, and longest lifespan and updates. Try to have a oneplus replaced or repaired, or to find a buyer for it? Niche products are always bad economy and a lot of hassle.

              jeez!!! That hurts 😁😁😁

When you buy from Samsung you have a month to return the phone if you are less than fully satisfied, this is regardless of any fault.

If there is a manufacturing fault then this is covered for 24 months as standard.

The only problem you could have is if you caused the damage, or that you bought the phone from an unauthorised source like eBay in another country.

Maybe your talking about a phone shop or your carrier idk, but certainly if that happened to me, I would about turn & tear a strip off of them, report them, escalate the complaint & demand a refund within my statutory rights.

Currently, the iPhone 8 costs € 799 and the iPhone X costs € 1149, so those prices are both reasonable and good news. Xs goes down 1 step, LCD one will replace 8

Better yet - They would not tell me “You gotta prove this” on their service. Like occassional problem will happen just in that time while I’m there. And laugh when I was leaving... that is something they did on purpose. Simply sold me something broken for 800€ and then avoided fixing it!

Where Apple truly excels in is aftermarket support. That's something even the most rabid haters can't take away from them. It's why many of their products can be used for so long. I know people who still have a MacBook Pro from 2008 and an iPhone 4 from 2010.

Any problems, easy to fix since they are so common. Can't say the same for Pixels, OnePlus, and even Sonys. Once they have your money, they could care less if your device breaks once the warranty expires. Apple simply excels in aftermarket support better than anyone out there. Hate their philosophy. Love their support.

I am a person who don't upgrade every year, does things what phones are meant to do. For people like me iOS is better anyway. I am using android, samsung s7 for years now and although it's still a great phone but I can't wait to upgrade to iphone coz I don't want to feel left out after 2 year. Mind you my s7 will run just fine for 2/3 more years but still with oreo. That's the biggest difference and coherent apple ecosystem ofcourse.

If I had to choose between iPhones, it would be iPhone 9 (red) or Xs. I am considering the Xs more because it's the smallest and closest in size to the X. That red 6.1" does look sexy. Here's the thing, their implementation for gestures is boring. Been there, done that with webOS.

Android also has gesture apps and their implementation is better. The one from XDA looks promising. I can't stand the gesture line can't be transparent (invisible) on iOS. It's UGLY. I also hate how Apple made it so expensive to get it repaired. Dave Lee even mentioned cracking his X from a minor fall.

                              https://youtu.be/mdRpgWYWCZg

As time goes on, OnePlus is starting to look better and better. If 6T adds in-display fingerprint sensor, that's just icing on the cake. It's resale value is poor but who cares? Not all of us want to dump our phones every 1-2 years. A brand new OnePlus 6 or 6T cost about the same as getting an iPhone X repaired.

I think OnePlus never had a bad flagship. OnePlus One, 2, 3/3T, 5/5T, and 6 were all pretty great. Check their reviews. OnePlus 2's only detriment was Snapdragon 810 which wasn't OP's fault. While 6 might be the first time OnePlus is getting it right with camera quality. Other brands including Apple have produced questionable quality and overpriced them.

From 3D touch... moreWell that's mean it is something wrong with your S8, none of the phone in a world considered normal working order if it freezes for half a minute. I have S8 since start and with Oreo it become much faster than it was on Nougat with Samsung experience 9.0 update, so S8 it's actually is getting faster still. My one is exynos variant. Any phone degrades in speed after long years of use even iPhones, especially older iPhones which really lacks proper RAM amount to run newer software. So please don't talk BS

From 3D touch to Touch ID and then Face ID...

You say real life speed... my S8 would sometimes freeze for full minute and would be completley unresponsive, every Android will lag given some time. S8 turned into lag-o-matic pretty fast.
Then the heat... it would heat up pretty fast from just basic apps.
And camera... it would sometimes be blurry until I'd give it a kick (literally) to finally focus, and that's main issue.
After S8 I bought the glorious and praised Huawei P20 Pro - which I had for just 1 week. It took single drop from shoulder height for it to break. Both, front and back panels shattered, despite having a case on it.
I bought the iPhone SE from money I got after selling that rubble, and irony is that it works just as smooth as new 2018 Android flagship (without camera or heating issues). And I like iOS because it's easier to use.

You need to be really ignorant to buy iPhones for this prices same about Samsung, complete insanity. You really get closed ecosystem devices for absorbing prices, and to keep maintaining them you will spend more and more on useless accessories, which suppose to be included for this prices in a package, good luck people!
